Absolutely - the England game put a bit of a dent in our attendance.

This afternoon we're up against Liskeard Athletic who are struggling badly near the bottom of the table (as they were last season when they beat us 1-0!).

Sorry the winning streak has come to an end Sedge. 8 goals in a game...great stuff, shame it wasn't the 3 points though.

With Andy away he obviously wasn't at the u'16's game on Saturday....they put up a great performance in the first half and were unlucky to concede 2 goals. Another one in the 2nd half and their foot went of the gas a wee bit. They went down fighting though and after a stramash in the goal mouth then managed to get one back just before the final whistle, ending 3-1. So glad they managed to get a goal after their hard fight. Coach would have been proud of the way they played. So no progress will be made in the Scottish Cup...always a tough one to get to next round in.

Back to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Liskeard on Saturday.  It wasn't a huge scoreline against a struggling side, but narrow wins are still worth 3 points!  Now we're up to 6th, but we face 4 teams in the top 8 before the end of the month (including the title favourites who have a 100% winning record)! :o

Tough games ahead by the sounds of it Sedge..good luck anyhow. Glad you picked up 3pts....wish our boys could. Glendale on a losing streak at the moment through injuries and missing players (those guys who go off on hols...lol).

Gutted for Celtic tonight losing 2 goals I last 5 mins against Milan.

Shame about the result Sedge....Glendale are a bit like that at the moment too, injuries taking their toll on the team at the moment too. However they won 2-1 today (minus Andy...still away on hols).

Culter Colts U'16's fought another brave game today. Andy would have been pleased with their performance, but after scoring in 1min 50secs in the first half to take the lead, they unfortunately lost 3-1, to the same team they had last weekend in the Scottish Cup tie.

We deserve to get a win soon, the boys have been playing well. Injury today day, one of them took a clatter to the head with a boot and went down, ice pack on and his dad had to take him to hospital to get checked over it being a head injury. Thought his nose may have been broken, but all is good, bruised ego and a black eye.

Such a shame when you're playing well and the games aren't going your way, I hope their fortunes turn soon Diane. :)

My 8 year old has gone back to the team he played with the season before last.  Last season wasn't so good for him as the manager was over competitive and managed to knock Robbie's confidence.. The manager he has now is much more quietly spoken and scrupulously fair in how much game time they have which is very important at this age.  Robbie missed the first two games of the season due to a sprained ankle but was in fine form today in midfield, he was responsible for setting up two of the goals out of the five they scored.. this is the third match in a row they have kept clean sheets, I wonder how long it can last?! :)

I think a win is imminent for your boys Inver!

Who does Robbie play for chaliepud?

St Austell had a couple of injured players back yesterday and manged a solid 4-2 win over a top 4 side.  It looks like one team are going to run away with the league this season, so I think it'll be a battle for second between about 6 sides, including us.

We're the club to watch if you want value for money - our Reserves managed a 5-5 draw yesterday!

Well Sedge, you prediction was right. Culter Colts U'16's managed a 3-2 lead in the first half and held on to it to win 3-2. Well played guys and deserved win. Andy got back from his trip on Friday afternoon. He was playing on Saturday so unfortunately couldn't see them secure their first win of the season. He had to last 90 minutes in his game (jet lag etc..I only saw about 20 mins and in that time they let in 4 goals and lost 5-2....oops.

No game for him this weekend, probably just as well as the hamstrings are literally at full stretch at the moment due to lack of use over his holiday. He will manage to see the Colts (hopefully win) play. The new coach they have brought on board is settling in well and has a good coaching manner and the boys seem to like him too.

How did your weekend go Sedge and winning formula to speak of.

Since my last post, we've had a great 4-1 win, showing some real skill in front of goal.

Last Saturday was the big showdown where we went to Plymouth Parkway, the title favourites.  We played some fantastic football, but couldn't stop them from winning 3-1.  Parkway are looking unstoppable, but I'd like to think we can improve on last season's 4th place finish.

Next Saturday we're at home to newly promoted Exmouth Town in 2nd place (if we manage to finish draining the pitch - we've had some biblical floods down here over the last 2 days!).

How did it go last weekend Sedge.

We had a fantastic day today....number 4 is our lucky number this weekend. Andy and Glendale had a Scottish Amateur Cup game today and won in style....4-1...well chuffed. I was on the sidelines watching while hubby was at the U'16's league game which was local derby against Culter Boys. We were texting back and forth, felt a bit like the videprinter on the footie scores...lol. Good news from there too as the had a great win of 4-0.

Now all we need is Raith Rovers to get a win over Anan Athletic tomorrow afternoon (BBC Alba at 4pm) and who knows maybe a 4-0 victory is in the stars!

Mixed fortunes for us Inver.  Last Saturday we signed one of the best strikers in the league who then had a terrible time against a team of 10 men and we lost 2-1!  He was back in form on Tuesday though when we won an epic battle with one of our main rivals, 4-3 (our new man scoring twice).

Yesterday was much more comfortable with Mark Gusterson (the new guy) scoring a hat-trick in a 4-1 win.  We've finally got a striker who can convert most of the chances we make.

We're still back in 7th place, but things have closed right up - the team in 2nd are only a point ahead of us!

Go Raith!

Sounds like a good signing there...good goal scoring, long may it continue.

Well Raith Rovers got through to the final of the Ramsden Challenge Cup....beat Annan Athletic 3-0...was hoping for another '4' in the numbers, but nearly...lol. Have to wait to see who they have in the final outcome of Stenhousemuir v Rangers. Think we know the outcome but daft things happen in these cup games. Final won't be until next April.

Yip it does. Makes you wonder how they would have done if we had had Gordon Strachan way back at the beginning. He certainly seems to be developing the team well....long may it continue.

No match this weekend for U'16's. School hols up here so Andy had to ask for a 'free' week as too many away. Glendale beat 4-0 yesterday in the pouring rain. We opted out of going was a good 45 mins drive away and the weather was rubbish.

Good stuff Sedge, hope his goal scoring keeps up.

Glendale beaten 5-1 in a cup thingy today...oops! We went to the U'16's game...unlucky to get beat 3-1...played well again and managed to get a great goal to equalise at 1-1, but let it slip in the second half a bit. Difficult long grass and slopping pitch to play on today..not ideal conditions, bit blustery too.
