  1. Thank you! Let me know what you think of the book - I've just read it
  2. ha ha - i hope so! The teachers look to be more than a match for the pupils, from what little I've seen
  3. Sounds so wrong! I can, however, strongly recommend a bacon, mushroon and hummus butty - just gorgeous!
  4. I'm late to this thread, so I may be repeating hat has already been said, but I have tried loads of weight-loss methods (having been put on diets by my mum from the age of 13 - not good!) and the one that has worked best for me is very low-carb - I lost 2 stone in a year, but even better, I have kept it off. Of course, I miss bread, potatoes, pasta, rice etc, but the results have been amazing and I find it easy to stick to. I can still eat cheese and eggs etc, and I am more than happy to eat tons of veggies with my meat. I think the most important thing to try and do is CHANGE your diet, rather than go on a diet - and to remember that the occasional treat won;t kill you!
  5. I couldn;t ever pick just one thing - my favourite changes on a regular basis
  6. Cider is good - I am so posh I have an actual beer butt chicken stand - much safer to use then just sticking a can up it's bum!
  7. Frog's legs - tasted lovely, but I couldn;t get the idea that I was eating a frog out of my head!
  8. mashed with butter and Cajun spices - divine!

    More football

Hoping LFC continue the blinding start to the season tomorrow!
  10. That looks funny, but I thought it might be a bit depressing - the kids in the trailers don't seem the sharpest knives in the drawer!
  11. Steve Earle s awesome - best gig ever for entertainment value had to be Alice Cooper, though - a proper SHOW, not just music
  12. I think I've got that one on my Kindle, but I've not read it yet. I wasn't sure about getting a Kindle. but I love it. I still read real books at home (I like the feel of a book in my hand) but my Kindle is invaluable when travelling
  13. Used to be a chocolatier, so I'm a bit of a chocolate snob! I read most stuff - not partial to chic-lit (apart from Marian Keyes, because she's hilarious!) but I'll give most stuff a go
  14. I don't know why I didn't think doing this sooner! Single mum of an almost 13 year old, slightly dull office job (but I've done worse for less money!), love chocolate, Liverpool FC, Steve Earle and, of course, reading
