Guest Vince Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 I was becoming a book club forum widow as my wife was on it all the time, so i thought better join in to see what all the fuss was about. Looks like loads of fun:readingtwo: Quote
SueK Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 I had been looking for a forum like for ages - I'm much happier discussing books online rather than attending a reading club. This is just right, I found this on google. Quote
Suburbanite Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 All hail Google. Typing in "book forums" brought this site up pretty high. Quote
emily Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Good ol' Google. Typed in "book club forum" while I was procrastinating from studying and obviously this was the first result. Quote
Elizabeth Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I had been looking for a vBulletin (it's the type of board I'm most accustomed to) book forum for awhile, and after searching and searching on Google, I finally found a site that links to certain forums. I typed book in the search box, and there was a link to here. I clicked it, looked around a little, and decided this looked like an awesome place to be and joined! Quote
Ernie Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Whilst on FriendsReunited I joined a group called Book Lovers , Book Club Forum was recommended so I googled it and liked what I saw. Quote
Raven Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I found the forum using a divining rod and some pixie dust. (Come on, that's a helluva lot more interesting than saying "I used Google" isn't it?!). Quote
kay_loves_purple Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 I have found this forum via Google, searching for "book forum". The first site shown was bookforum.com and this was the second one; given that bookforum.com doesn't seem to be an actual forum, here I am Later edit:... um, of course I used a divining rod and pixie dust, just like Raven did, what was I thinking?? Lucybird Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I googled book forums, and this was first on the list and looked good Quote
Maggie Dana Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 This may not be the right place for this thread (Michelle?) but seeing all the new members introducing themselves has made me wonder how people have found the site. I Googled something like "UK Online Book Clubs" (can't remember the exact wording), because I wanted to connect with readers in the UK. I'm English, but have lived in the US for many years, yet most of my favourite authors are English (big surprise there!), and I'm always interested in learning of UK writers I know nothing about. Since joining, I've recommended the site to several friends, both readers and writers. Quote
