  1. I'm guessing those super villains from Bond Movies wouldn't get too many takers.
  2. Has anyone ever been really offended by the views and opinions (I.e. in the commentaries or bonus material such as interviews)? Every DVD I seem to watch now has a disclaimer on it at the beginning reminding me that the views and opinions are those of the individual speaking and do not represent those of whatever company made the film. I just wondered if there had ever been a case of someone suing a company because of something they’d heard an actor/director say on a commentary? Or maybe I’m just not that easily offended.
  3. I think, unless anyone can correct me, it has to be Star Wars (I.e. the saga). I’ve just heard they’re releasing it all in 3D. How many different versions of this film are they going to make? I’m al ready refusing to buy it on Blu-ray because I have at least two different versions on DVD, plus I think the 1997 re-mastered version on VHS box set. Okay, rant over.
  4. Just wondering if anyone knew what the song was all about? It was from their album ‘Accelerate’ and every time I listen to it I get the impression it’s about something specific that I just haven’t heard of! Or is it just a generally catchy little ditty with no greater meaning whatsoever? Either way, I like it.
  5. ...taken from the BBC online website Pigeons force Kings of Leon to abandon concert Kings of Leon recently performed on US TV show Today Rock band the Kings of Leon have been forced to end a concert early after pigeons defecated on them from the rafters of a US venue. The rockers abandoned the gig in St Louis after three songs when bass player Jared Followill was hit in the mouth and face by pigeon droppings. Drummer Nathan Followill later apologised to fans via Twitter, saying "it was too unsanitary to continue". Their publicist added the band found it hard to carry on after the incident. "Jared was hit several times during the first two songs. On the third song, when he was hit in the cheek and some of it landed near his mouth, they couldn't deal [with it] any longer," said Amy Mendelsohn. "It's not only disgusting - it's a toxic hazard. They really tried to hang in there." Opening acts The Postelles and The Stills had also come off stage after their sets were covered in excrement. The Grammy-winning band are due to continue their tour in Cleveland, Ohio on Monday evening following the incident at at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. They are currently promoting their fourth album, Only By The Night, and are due to visit the UK later this summer. Nashville brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared make up the group, along with their cousin Matthew on lead guitar. Fans who were at the curtailed concert will be offered refunds http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-10758730
  6. Indeed, and as it should be. I like to think not many Dr Who viewers will be impressionable enough to let that influence how they behave. It just leaves me with very silly images of stoned Daleks.
  7. And I always thought Dr Who was such a wholesome show for all the family. Apparently, according to the BBC online, the regeneration scenes were based on LSD trips?! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8616413.stm
  8. Unbelieveably, I only watched The Birds for the first time the other week. I have to agree with that - it was left at a critical stage. Did Hitchcock ever make a sequel himself?
  9. With that kind of title the series could run for many centuries!
  10. Haven't seen that yet, but I hear it was successful, so that's normally a sign Hollywood will try to cash in (Saw VI anyone?)
  11. Are they not making a sequel to The Golden Compass? I thought the film version was a bit disappointing, but everyone said (ala Ed Wood) how the 'next one will be better' so I considered it was in the pipeline?
  12. I just watched Copycat on TV the other day. I guess it was always going to come off second best, being released the same year as Se7en, but I thought it was really good. I just thought that the ending seemed to really want to hint that there was more to come. Pity it never did. What other films really meant/deserved sequels?
  13. I guess as long as you remember your trusty cricket bat you should remain uneaten.
  14. I'll bet you're the type who wouldn't last five minutes in the event of an undead uprising!
  15. I just looked it up on Amazon to see how it's doing... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pride-Prejudice-Zombies-Romance-now-Ultraviolent/dp/1594743347/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1247472916&sr=1-1 I think, judging by some of the reviews, that opinion is seriously divided. You've got about half of the 26 reviews giving it 5/5 and the rest who absolutely hated it.
