  5. You must be so focussed - well done!!
  6. I quite agree - it got to me too! It certainly does leave you wanting more!
  7. Well done to all that take part in Challenges. I find it really hard to stick at any one thing and find myself always changing my mind about what I want to read. I like to just pick up what takes my fancy at any given moment. I did manage to not buy any new books for the second half of 2008 which was something I challenged myself too. However this did not stop me acquiring a few new books in other ways! I'm intending to not buy loads this year either and will really try to get stuck into Mount TBR.
  8. I've succeeded now - Firefox was not working for me but Internet explorer was fine. Good luck with the blogging. It can be fun and addictive at times.

  9. Hi I was trying to enter a comment on your blog but couldn't see the word in the word verification box - don't know if it's just my settings!

  12. I would have to say it's a tie between: Paying For It by Tony Black Aberrations by Penelope Przekop I loved both these books and I'm really looking froward to reading Tony Black's second novel in the series starring Gus Drury called Gutted.
  13. But your rubbish could well be someone else's gem! I used Read it Swap it loads last year and found it surprising what people would swap, but I expect we both felt we were getting the best out of the deal.
  14. Do let me know what you think of The Taking! I read that over the last year and I'd be interested to know what you think. Hope you had a good new year evening! :)

  15. I went to a grammar school but didn't have to pass the 11 plus to get there. I did pass this test though with 15/15 in 5 minutes so I impressed myself!

    Hi !

    Welcome Damian!
  17. I have to say as well as enjoying the story and characters I love the hardback cover of the book too with it's see through cover that's covered in "Noise." Have you got this edition?
  18. This is an entertaining book that allows people to arrange for certain wildlife, and the occasional pet, to take park in stunts / experiments. I would say most of the stunts require quite a lot of patience and some have a need for wildlife in your back garden. Teaching your goldfish to play football certainly looked interesting as shown by the video on amazon. I have seen the squirrel stunts played out on TV, but most of the other ideas are all new to me. I have to say I can

  20. I've just finished this book and thought it was outstanding! I've just placed my review of this book here. It was one of my favourite reads of the year so far too!
  21. Happy Birthday Supergran - Hope you've had a good day!:sign0072:

  22. Yes a very good case - I would definitely love one - that's almost NEED but... ...like Michelle other NEEDS are taking the funds at the moment. sniff!! Is that really in the spirit of Christmas? If it is I want a silver one please!
  23. Hi there!
  24. Very useful and I WANT one now! But do I really NEED one? Is that a good reason for not getting one, besides feeling it would be a little bit of a luxury. Oh well I guess it will have to wait!
  25. Hello and welcome I enjoy Crime novels too!
