  1. I wish I had shelves, or a fridge to put books in! Unfortunately many of mine are in boxes in the attic as there really isn't the correct place to store them around the house, although a number live in one of the cupboards in my bedroom and of course the bedside cabinet.
  2. Just read this myself and I thought it was a fantastic read. Can't rate it highly enough!
  3. I think because I was off work I had convinced myself it was Saturday today! Have a fantastic day Sunday!
  4. Hello!
  5. I most definitely think I will read Esme at some point in the future and I certainly didn't hate After You'd Gone, but I did wonder why I didn't connect with the characters!
  6. Does that mean you're getting married today? How exciting! Have a wonderful day and very best wishes!
  7. I've just started keeping a record this year. I use the website Librarything which you can find here. I find it caters for everything that I need.
  8. Hello and welcome from me too!
  9. It's possible cleaning may help or it may just be time for a replacement drive. I hope the cleaning option works! I dare say someone more technical than me may give some more helpful advice.
  10. Could be that the dvd or cd drive is becoming faulty! My DVD drive doesn't like dvd's any more. Can you try a different disk to see if the PC will read that?
  11. I never liked school either- it's a shame we can't all get an education without it being forced upon us! What's your favourite part about school? Mine was certain lessons: PE, Athletics, Math & English Literature - oh yes and TD which was technical drawing - I don't believe this exists in school any more except in computer form.

  12. Did you have a good time today? :)

  13. I've been chosen to receive Quiver by Peter Leonard this month!
  14. I've been at home from work this week being really lazy and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I do have to go into work for half a day tomorrow unfortunately. Are you looking forward to getting back to school?

  15. I've now read this one, but unfortunately I didn't connect with the characters and was a little let down as I really thought I would love it! never mind I should NOT have expectations of a book! Saying that I had expectations of Joe Simpson's Touching the Void and I wasn't let down by that at all! I will still read the other 2 of Maggie O'Farrels that I have in my possession, but I may hold off getting Esme for now!
  16. :bestw:Happy Birthday!

  17. Thanks Tiger, he is lovely, but I bet he's not as cute as your new kitties. How are they settling in and what's the worst mischief they've got into so far?

  18. Hello and welcome! It's a great place!
  19. Hope you enjoy it here!
  20. Hi and welcome! I'm into Mystery and Thrillers too.
  21. It certainly does sound a good idea in theory, I'd certainly love to give it a go for the experience! Have a great time!
  22. I thought her book: "The Perfect Husband" was excellent, but I've still got "Alone" on my TBR pile.

  23. I haven't had a Tunnock's Teacake for such a long time! I'm starting to wish I had one now after seeing your avatar.

  24. Hi and welcome! Are you enjoying Alone? - I've not read that 1 yet!

  25. I agree - even when I'm surfing other pages - I generally have BCF open in the background!
