  1. This is ringing bells! The same has happened with my two as well. I just can't understand what's happened to the reading gene in our family!
  2. I borrowed Shadow of the Wind from a friend who loved it and I have to say I loved it too. I really look forward to reading the new book next year!
  3. Lucky you that must be well worth hanging on to! I just went to an advertised book signing and met Terry Pratchett

  8. Hello from another newish member
  9. Thank you Maureen! I'll make use of that next time I need it.
  10. I've recently read possession, but even though it kept me reading I didn't find it that good, can't quite put my finger on why. Dead Simple is on my TBR pile.
  11. I have read that librarything say: "we will be giving members the ability to remove pieces entirely." in the future ,so hopefully that should do away with the overcrowding. Well it will if it means what I believe it does.
  12. I've read My Sister's Keeper too and it was the first of Jodi Picoult's that I read which lead me to reading more as I really enjoyed the story and her style of writing. I've got Mercy on my TBR at the moment.
  13. Thanks Niki most certainly will call if I have any probs. Thank you!

  14. Hi Jordan I tend to agree with you about Jack Reacher even though I've read a few. I've read Die Trying and there was one passage in the book that really had me gripped - it lasted about 5 pages - I just wondered if you would know what I'm referring to and if it had the same affect on you? (Don't want to add any spoilers!)
  15. Hi carm Is it short for a name or are you calm?

  18. everyone! It's good to be here. Yes it's lovely isn't it - I found it under my profile page and thought it was really cute!
  19. I loved The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings and really enjoyed the first of the Discworld series: The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett. I would love to own "the luggage"
  20. 83 on my TBR at the moment. As I'm swapping books mostly at the moment, hopefully it won't rise too much over the coming year!
  21. Hi and thanks for the welcome! I have to say my TBR pile has started to grow this year since I joined the Readitswapit site and I'm sure it'll grow more now that I am here.
  22. I borrowed this from the library last year and I have to say it was a great read and wonderful to see how far she came through the difficulties of her life.
  23. 1. Who is your all-time favourite author, and why? I will have to give the same answer as others as really I don't think I have an all time favourite author as my tastes seem to have varied over the years. 2. Who was your first favourite author, and why? Do you still consider him or her among your favourites? The First author I remember reading and becoming engrossed in her books was Enid Blyton - I found the Magic Faraway Tree stories to be a wonderful escape from reality. I kept my childhood books and I'll still pick up The Enchanted Wood today and appreciate it. I then progressed to the Famous Five books and enjoyed those too and of course I adored Timmy! 3. Who
  24. Thanks Michelle for sorting the problem with me registering. It's good to be here. It'll take a while for me to find my feet! I like the smilies!
