JonC Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Last film I saw was Gravity. I wouldn't recommend it. 30 minutes was enough for me Been struggling a bit to find anything to watch recently. Quote
Kylie Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I just watched Black Swan for the first time (finally). Brilliant! Quote
Karsa Orlong Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Looks ridiculous! Oh it really is! Quote
itsmeagain Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 (edited) Two days one night starring the great Marion Cotillard. Moral dilemma for her colleagues as Sandra, played by Cotillard, wants to go back to work, but is depressed and the shoestring orientated business boss wants a ballot ..either all give up your pay bonus, or accept Sandra back. Excellent. Edited September 26, 2014 by itsmeagain Quote
Timstar Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Dallas Buyers Club - it was good but the pacing seemed a bit off, jumps forward unexpectedly then goes really slow. Great acting though. Quote
frankie Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Cockneys VS Zombies. But was a bit distracted, it was a Friday night. It was good, though. Quote
Inver Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Has anyone seen Before I Go To Sleep? Yes...it was really good, as is the book. Quote
Anna Begins Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Boring & on for too long. How is It going? Quote
dex Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Yes...it was really good, as is the book. I'm just thinking that from some of the comments I've seen, that it seems to be like Memento. Quote
Athena Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 6/5 loved it I really want to see it too! I'm so glad you liked it . Quote

geordie9 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 How is It going? It's going great, 750 pages down, only about 400 or so left, dont really want it to end though. Quote
Anna Begins Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 3.5/5 I think the book will be better! Quote
Brian. Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I finally managed to watch Moneyball and despite knowing nothing about baseball I really enjoyed it. I was a little disappointed to read afterwards that the character portrayed by Jonah Hill was a composite rather that an accurate depiction of the real person but it didn't spoil it for me. Quote
Karsa Orlong Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 The Wolverine. Much better than I expected. I rather enjoyed it Quote
vodkafan Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Pirates - the Aardman animation. Quite amusing. Quote
vodkafan Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 The Quick And The Dead. Quirky western with Sharon Stone directed by Sam Raimi. Seen it before. It's kind of a style over substance film you have to suspend disbelief but it's fun. Quote
Athena Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Pirates - the Aardman animation. Quite amusing. I liked this one too . Quote
Timstar Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 The Double - The new Richard Ayoade film, interesting ideas but poor delivery, very slow and boring, felt much longer than 90 minutes. Quote
frankie Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Naapurihaudan kaveri, a Swedish movie about a librarian who meets a farmer when visiting her husband at the cemetery. One of my favorite Swedish actors, Michael Nyqvist, is in it. Quote
Talisman Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 We went to see Gone Girl at the weekend, which actually I really enjoyed. I haven't read the book as I didn't like the writers style, but the film was really good, if a little graphic. Quote
itsmeagain Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Tomorrow we are going to see Gone girl. Quote
vodkafan Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Started watching Les Miserables last night. I saw this at the cinema and really enjoyed it. But last night I just found it excrutiatingly boring. Perhaps I wasn't in the mood for a musical. Quote
