I finished a Hamish MacBeth mystery and am picking up with Pride and Prejudice and Cheese and Grits. Think I might finish this off tonight! Then its on to Last Wool and Testament (a haunted yarn shop mystery).

Well done :)!

I bet I read for 4 hours and accomplished 200 pages.   :o

Here's to October!  :readingtwo:

Yep!

Yesterday I finished reading Susan Hatler - Better Date than Never 7: Driven to Date and I bought and read Susan Hatler - Better Date than Never 8: Up to Date. I didn't know it was out but I found out about it finishing book 7 (they're novellas). I also read Ann M. Martin - The BabySitter's Club 16: Jessi's Secret Language.

How did the rest of you do?

The next read-a-thon will take place on 3rd 4th 5th of October.

Thanks! l'm looking forward to the next read-a-thon.

Me too :). (as a sidenote, the 4th October, Saturday, is 'animals-day' in the Netherlands, so I'll be giving our pets something nice.)

For the next read-a-thon, Anna and I are going to read the Four stories by Veronica Roth. I also plan on trying to read some other short books and hopefully do better than last weekend.

The read-a-thon is next week / weekend (so not today..)! I'm excited for it, hopefully it'll be fun.

I'll be reading the Four stories by Veronica Roth together with Anna. Other than that I'm not sure yet what I'll read, though I have some shorter paperbacks lined up as usual that I might read. If anyone wants to see a photo I'll make one.

Karen, will you be participating in the read-a-thon? Anyone else..?

It would appear no one else might be joining us..?

Either way, I look forward to the next few days! I'm hoping my mojo will be kind to me :hide:, that I'll be able to do plenty of reading! I'll be starting with the Four stories and after that will be choosing from a big pile of smaller books (including some children's and YA and re-reads).

:exc: :exc:

^^ Much higher hopes than I lol I think it'll just be the Four stories for me.  But, we won't have any homework...  so I'll be able to read most of Friday, all of Saturday and Sunday.  No plans, just reading,  *sigh* how nice

Overall I had a great reading day on Friday. Saturday I was really tired after going food shopping so I spend several hours resting and feeling bad. On Sunday I didn't feel well either. So to be honest the read-a-thon was mainly a success on Friday, the other two days I didn't feel so great though there were moments in the day where I was able to enjoy the reading.

Very late to record my readathon pages but here they are:

On Friday:

68 pages of Kuolema Ehtoolehdossa

78 pages of Gone Girl

Sunday:

68 pages of Gone Girl

Not too bad considering what a fully packed weekend I had.

The next read-a-thon is this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the 7th, 8th and 9th of November. Here's some of the books I plan on reading (but it might change depending on my mood):

Barbara Taylor Bradford - Hidden

Ann M. Martin - The BabySitter's Club 19: Claudia and the Bad Joke (re-read)

A. C. Baantjer and Simon de Waal - De Waal & Baantjer 5: Een Rat in de Val

Loes den Hollander - Nooit Alleen

Norma Fox Mazer - Missing Pieces

Neil Gaiman - Coraline (Dutch version)

George Asakua - A Perfect Day for Love Letters (five short stories)

Disney - Donald Duck Pocket 199

Dee Shurman - Mijn Supergeheime Dagboek: Reality-tv: een Nachtmerrie!

Simon Sukkel and Jim Smith - Ik Ben (G)Een Sukkel 1: Ik Ben (G)Een Sukkel

Simon Sukkel and Jim Smith - Ik Ben (G)Een Sukkel 3: Ik Ben (G)Een Sukkel Meer

Barry Loser and Jim Smith - I am (NOT) a Loser: My Dad is a Loser

Barry Loser and Jim Smith - I am (NOT) a Loser: My Mum is a Loser

The last two are free short stories on the Kindle (I'm unsure where they take place in the series). I might not read all of these books or I might read something else, it'll depend on my mood.

Who else is joining me? (I know you will, Anna!)
