  2. I'm glad to see 2 entries for Neil Gaiman too Although I would never say I was reader of sci-fi, I'm surprised by how many of the top 25 I have actually read. Maybe I am into sci-fi then!

  8. I wouldn't class myself as a collector, in that I don't look for rare copies. I do collect my books though and never part with them. The most I've ever spent is around
  9. Thanks Pickle Hey Peace! Yeah it is and I loved it. I picked it up just after Christmas and read a few chapters but got sidetracked with the temptation of other books. I'll hopefully pick up the next book in town soon (although sensible Nicola is screaming at me to concentrate uni work thats beginning to tower over me Rebel Nicola is leading me by the hand into Waterstones ) Wuthering Heights is one of my favourite classics (maybe number 2 or 3 on the list) but at first I didn't understand who was supposed to be narrating which I think confused me. After a few false starts, I fell in love with it I hope you give it another go!
  10. Hi Gemz! Welcome to the Forum
  11. Hey Angie! Welcome to the Forum! I don't read a lot of crime fiction but I am a bit of a Jeffrey Deaver fan Hopefully see you around the threads!
  12. Does each book in the series star a different woman? Or does Elena feature in any future books? I've just started this after Weave recommended it. So far so good
  13. Yesterday, I started and finished Bitten by Kelley Armstrong. I couldn't put it down! Such a good read
  14. I would like him to say something along the lines of: Hope you don't mind but we've had to give you a quiet corner of heaven. Just a small cottage amongst the lavender fields. Unfortunately it's always hot over there so I hope you don't like rain or snow too much. We've stocked the library with your favourites books, the fridge is full of desserts and the Masseuse will be over at 9am every morning. You also have the use of a servant should you require it......he's an Alexander Skarsgard look-a-like. Anyone you'd like to see again is only a phone call away This is my idea of heaven!
  15. Welcome to the Forum Kylar!
  16. I learned that the force of the earthquake in Chile has slightly moved the earth's axis and therefore the route of it's orbit shortens the length of a day by 1.26 microseconds. Although it seems like a miniscule amount of time now, scientists reckon that all these microseconds have added up over the course of the earth's history and they're the reason we have a leap year.
