  1. Hi Emily nice to see you in Silver Surfers and welcome to the book club forum...Have not been on the forum recently otherwise would have said hi before...look forward to chatting in the future

  2. I'm new here and my previous post wasn't complete. Sorry about that. Anyway, my favorite True Crime books are, Ann Rule's Small Sacrifices and The Stranger Beside Me. Then there are John Douglas' books, like MindHunter. He delves into the minds of criminals, very fascinating. Other must reads are, Fatal Vision, NightStalker, House of Secrets, Jack the Ripper:the encyclopedia, and Deviant. What do you guys think?
  3. Any True crime fans out there I love reading about real life crimes. No, I'm not crazy, I just enjoy learning what makes a sick mind tick. SOme of my favorites are by Ann Rule, such as Small Sacrifices
  4. Wow! I'm quite surprised to hear that you didn't enjoy this book. Of course that's why there are so many books out there, because everyone has different tastes. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed The Shadow of the Wind. In fact, it is one of my favorite books. It kept me engrossed the whole time I read it, even though it did start off a little slow for me. But I kept on reading and I'm very glad that I did. It was well worth it!! Great book!!
  5. Hi! I came upon this forum by chance and now I am so excited to be a part of it. Needless to say, I love books!! All kinds of books thrill me. AT one point I had my own personal library in my studio, with over 500 books. For some strange reason I need to have the books on my bookshelf. I don't know all about the newfangled Kindle thing. I'm not so sure how that's going to go. It seems so impersonal to me. There is nothing like flipping through pages and book marking them with dogears. Ok, I hope to hear from some of you soon.
