  1. I've got a book of short stories by Stephen King called The Nightshift & I think (I'd probably have to double check) that one of the stories is called Salem's Lot?? Would this be the same story??
  2. You know what I'm like! Also.....just ignored the fact that I'm on this blinking diet (still!!) and baked a chocolate and banana loaf cake. Jusr had a rather large slice with a cup of tea and I'm definitely considering myself comforted right now
  3. Ok then Adam....count me in! I'll get reading asap
  4. Hey Gyre! I'm good......still in my PJ's (It's Sunday therefore classed as uniform ) Ooooh where would I find the Harper Connelly bookring?

    How's everything with you? :D

  5. Oooh I never thought of looking first thing on a monday morning! A bloke I work with downloads me the episodes each week and puts them in disc......I've no idea where he gets them from (it's probably best not to ask!) but I'm sure it's a bit dodgy :lol:

I can't believe we're in August already. It's seems like New Year was only a few month ago....crazy isn't it! xx

  6. Definitely yum! haa!

I'm good! Just had a bit of a chocolate craving so baked a cake. A bit drastic but it'll be done in about 5 mins. I thought that not buying any cakes would mean that I wouldn't eat them!:blush: How are you?

I thought I'd already added you :) Wish we had the second series showing in the UK xx

  7. Hey Stephanie!

I'm loving your avatar at the moment! Is it Eric Northman or just plain old (yeah right!!) Alexander Skarsgard? :D

  8. Hey Shelley! Welcome to the Forum!
  9. How are you able to do that! That's willpower right there! For me, I think Sam's a bit dull. He's a good friend but I think Sookie quite likes the sense of adventure and Eric has that in abundance
  10. I received an email from Blackwells today to say they've got their fiction on 3 for 2. I was also in Waterstones yesterday and they have the Kelley Armstrong books on 3 for 2 too. Soo many offers and all before pay day! Boooooooooo hissssss (etc etc )
  11. Sometimes I will. There have been a few books that I was mid-way through when uni work or other more exciting books got in the way. Some I go back to and others I don't.
  12. I think you might be onto something there Charm I kept thinking that too! Maybe we could petition Charlaine Harris telling her that we NEED a book that only contains Sookie and Eric......no Quinn or Alcide or Bill or Sam
  13. It is good to see him start to take control of his life. His Mother is one of those women........and fancy being nasty to Jessica! Heeesh!
  14. I heard about the movie and saw the book by the till in HMV so I grabbed it as an impulse purchase. Needless to say I had to rush out to buy the rest of them within the week
  15. Home-made soup (This diet is slowly destroying my soul! What I'd really like for dinner is lasagne and chips!)
  16. I much prefer to read an actual book but I download the odd ebook to read at work during quiet spells. Of course, if the book's good then I tend to put my work off until the last minute so it's a bit counter-productive (and maybe a tad bit cheeky considering I'm not getting paid to read! )
  17. I totally forget which order the later books come in I know 1 - 4 but after that it gets a bit fuzzy until Dead & Gone book 9
  18. I've got this book sat on my bookshelves. I keep meaning to pick it up but a few people have told me it's a bit slow so I keep opting for other books. I've also not read anything else by the author so I haven't got my own opinion to go by either
  19. I love the word twit! It makes me giggle like a 5 year old! But yes....Bill is a twit!
  20. I'm an unsociable reader! haa! Haaa......yeah that would've been pretty rude!
  21. I really like Jessica and feel really sorry for her. The whole teenager/parent relationship between her and Bill is really funny
  22. You should have feigned illness Frankie! (I'm ashamed to admit I've resorted to that course of action more than once ) X factor starts tonight!
  23. They're cuckoo aren't they!
  24. Lafayette is so funny isn't he! I also love Jason.....the scene where he was dancing for V was hilarious!

I've heard about those Women of the Otherworld books from quite a few people so I'll probably move onto those next. It's pay day soon so I'll splurge then! :D I hadn't thought of reading more Charlaine Harris.....I'll look into the Harper Connelly series.....is it similar to Sookie Stackhouse? Thanks for the suggestion :D:D

  25. Hey Gyre!

Thanks so much for the friend request! :D I love that True Blood thread....everyone makes me giggle! Thanks!

I'm good but stuck in Sookie Stackhouse limbo  How about you? :D
