  1. I'm almost finished Memnoch the Devil by Anne Rice. It was a quite heavy going for a while and I really had to push myself to read it but now I can't put it down. There's about 40 pages left so I'll hopefully finish those tonight
  2. Hello Miss Frankie!!

Are you all set for Christmas? I've been running around like lunatic for the past few days and now I've just collapsed in a heap on the sofa with a cup of tea!

You should definitely come to Newcastle if possible. The place in the centre of the city is Jesmond Dene which was created by Lord Armstrong as a wedding gift to his bride! How romantic is that! Well if you did actually decide upon it, I could point you in the direction of the better places to live and the good pubs! :D

  3. The Office is so addictive isn't it! As the episodes are quite short, you find yourself watching 6 in a row and by the time you get to 6 episodes you're too engrossed to stop watching.

Kevin is great! It's so funny when she tries to help him and says he's doing really well! haa! I was so sad that she had to leave though poor Michael :cry2: They were the perfect couple....she was as crazy as him! And Phyllis outing Angela was fabulous! I hope you got to see episode 11. If I'm thinking of the right episode, it was sheer genius! :D

Poor Toby too! I think he really likes Pam but just didn't have the courage bless him

Well I'm internet-less now for 3 whole days while I'm at My Mother's house so I hope you have a lovely Christmas and great New Year celebrations :D Have fun Miss Frankie! xxx

  4. I'm too scared to read it in case I can't wait for the rest! Or should I just read it and accept there's noting I can do about reading the rest until it's released??....hmmmmm decisions!
  5. Me too!!
  6. I reckon that The Sun have more than likely made the whole thing up. I don't buy newspapers anymore after my work place was slated in the Daily Mail and everything they printed was totally incorrect. It's crazy that they're allowed to print lies but there you go The last I heard, Joe was in the lead by 9,000 copies but my BF reckons that RATM sales have rocketed again so it's going to be a close one. Eeeeeeek!
  7. Ooooh how are you finding it? Have you read anything else by him? I've read a few of his book and have enjoyed them all He's great.
  8. I've just heard an interview on Radio 1 with the guy who started this whole thing which was really interesting. Apparently, all the proceeds from RATM are going to UK based charities such as Shelter. They've already raised
  9. That's such a great movie!! I'm just about to watch 'About A Boy'.
  10. Treasure Island - Robert Louis Stevenson
  11. I watched Fracture last night with Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling. It's a psychological thriller....such a good movie!
  12. Five Children and It - E. Nesbit
  13. Happy Birthday Sari! :5birthday: xxx

Hope you're having a great day!

I forgot about the "Oh D! Oh D!" thing  The whole Andy/Angela/Dwight storyline is hilarious! We're up to Season 6 episode 11 or 12 at the moment and I always think that there can't be anything else for the makers of the show to cover but they always surprise me. Andy Really grows on you as the seasons progress. I take it you've seen the episode where he lost his temper? Oh and yeah, the newcomers from Stanford branch....ther part where the large guy is trying to get on top of the table is unbearable!!

I'm sure things will work out with your language exchange....positive thinking Miss Frankie! If you tell yourself it will happen and nothing will stop you, it'll happen :D I always think that if plans change or things appear to fall through, there's a reason for it and something better is going to come along.

Well have a great day! :D

  14. Hey Frankie!! I'm good....definitely in Christmas mode now. I've been stuffing myself with sweet mince pies for the past week (eeeeek!) Do you have sweet mince pies in Finland? I don't know what I'd do without them :D

How are you? I take it you're very well considering you've had all those episodes to watch :D So what's happening at the moment? Have you seen the 'Welcome to Scranton' day for the newcomers? or the George Foreman grill episode? How exciting!

Your BF is such a sweetie! That's lovely and the fact that he's gone to the trouble of making a little dwight head on it too shows he's one to keep :D I can't wait until you get to the end.....at the moment I'm holding back in case you haven't seen certain episodes and I don't want to spoil it for you but I'm near to bursting

  15. That's great!
  16. Still reading Anne Rice's Memnoch the Devil and really having to push myself through at the moment. There were moments like this in The Vampire Lestat too but it was worth persevering with that, so I'll keep going with this and hopefully it'll be just as good
  17. I've read and loved all the books you mention except for The Harrowing Other books that I enjoyed just as much include: Southern Vampire Mysteries - Charlaine Harris His Dark Material (Trilogy) - Phillip Pullman Anything by Neil Gaiman I'm currently making my way through Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and while there are moments in some of the books where you need to persevere, they're fantastic! Especially Interview With The Vampire, Queen of the Damned and The Body Thief. Hope you find something you'll enjoy
  18. Maffia bingo! It's so true! Can't wait now! :D

  19. Oooooh I love this movie! In the complete opposite direction, I've been watching the Harry Potter movies today. We're up to Goblet of Fire
  20. Me too! It gets really heated doesn't it! I think I can see both points of view and as I haven't had children yet I don't really have a firm opinion to give. Talk about sitting on the fence eh!!

Ah Felling Social Club is like Phoenix Nights with half the amount of customers. And there's so many rules! You can't walk on the dancefloor until after the bingo at 9pm. You can't talk/whisper/breath during the bongo or you get barred for a year (!!!!) If your mobile phone is on the table top during the bingo, you'll get kicked out........it's crazy!

  21. Ah bless her!! That'll be me when I'm older......beans on toast is about as far as I get! Although I can bake a pretty good cake  It must be nice to actually help prepare the meal. It makes you a central part of Christmas! I know what you mean about it getting to a certain time and wanting a bit of peace and quiet. I don't think I'll get any until Boxing Day unfortunately. After dinner at my Sisters we're staying for tea and then heading to nightlife central (also known as Felling Social Club ) for a night of Motown and hip replacements! Lovely!! Eeeeee we went the other week to get my Mam out the house and me and my Sister ended up winning most of the bingo that night.....we were hated!!)

There's a pretty good discussion going on the in the Mature Discussion thread about a child's right to privacy. You might find it interesting (it gets a bit heated at times mind you! :lurker:)

  22. You've got to be kidding me!!! This show is like Male-models 'R' Us! Merry Christmas folks!!!
  23. I think when you get to 3rd year they think that you've come too far to quit so they leave all the awful stuff until then :irked: We've gone from designing housing schemes (which was really good) to Planning Theory and Policy Analysis (which is one subject on Mondays at 6!). Horrendous! So do you get to take a year out in placement on your course?

Well this year I'm going to my Sister's for Christmas lunch as we lost our Step-dad in April and we just want to make the day as easy as possible for my Mam really. Her BF makes the nicest dinner though! Yum! It rivals my Grandma's cooking so I'm looking forward to it :D

What are your plans for Christmas day? Oooooh its only 10 days away! Heeee! :D:mrgreen:

  24. Hello Mrs!!

I decided to actually do some reading instead of writing about reading for a change, but I can never stay away from the BCF for too long!

That title is pretty vague.....there must be a million different topics to choose from! My BFs Mum works in child protection in Teesside and she often talks about children's rights with relation to that. It's pretty interesting but seems like a pretty huge topic.

I'm so pleased for Joe bless him :D:D He's on Radio 1 in the morning between 7:20 and 8am. Pretty early but it'll be nice to hear what he's been up to since he won. I thought his version of the winners song was so much better than Olly's. Bless him!

Glad to hear you're finished your work for uni Mrs! Hello Christmas!!
