  7. Hey Whitegold!

I've just seen your thread saying you've decided on The Boleyn Inheritance but it's now closed so I can't comment. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! Let me know how you find it as I'm totally in love with the Tudor Series by Philippa Gregory. I read The Queen's Fool a few months ago (which was also fantastic!) and I'd highly recommend that one too!

    Happy reading :D:D

  8. I quite like him too! I think he's a bit of a lost soul. The other day when he was talking about the moment that Jordan dumped him on live tv, I felt so sorry for him. Bless him finding out from friends texts
  9. Santa brought me Jasper Fforde's Eyre Affair I've not read anything by him yet but I've heard lots of good things. I've been told to that to get the best out of it I need to read Jane Eyre first so I'm hoping to get a copy of that within the next few weeks
  10. I watched Slumdog Millionaire that other night and it blew me away! It's quite possibly my new favourite movie of all time
  11. This happened to me too
  12. Hey Book Fiend!

Thanks for the request :D For some reason I though I already had you added

    Hope you're grand xx

  13. Thanks Rawr! I need everything ounce of luck I can get my hands on
  14. I'm totally in love with Glee!! It's just easy viewing, non-offensive, happy tv I watched the first two episodes instead of revising the other day but now I'm impatient for the next one. I didn't like Quinn or the teacher's wife. I thought the cheerleader's coach was slightly deranged and the headmaster is crazy I love Kurt, he's so funny! The actress that play Rachel is brilliant and I quite liked Finn too. Hopefully as the show progresses we get to find out more about the other members of Glee
  15. Yup...I totally agree with you Andy It has to be rebellious but not too mainstreamed and if it's slightly twisted or difficult then you'd extra marks. So I'd probably say Hunter.S.Thompson, Richard Brautigan, Chuck Palaniuk, Chancery Stone.....I might have said Irvine Welsh but I think he's pretty mainstream now. I think anything attached to the Gonzo journalism scene would seem pretty cool too. I also think that an extremely worn, old book can look pretty cool. I once saw a woman in the hairdressers reading New Moon and remember thinking "that's not a good look".
  16. Banana on toast
  17. I've been bogged down with uni stuff (last exam tomorrow! ) so my reading activity has been non-existent. However, I've just bought Q&A by Vikas Swarup after watching Slumdog Millionaire last night and can't wait to get started
  18. My resolutions are to: 1. Finish Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles 2. Investigate Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld Series 3. Read the Neil Gaiman books which I've yet to read 4. Read more non-fiction surrounding the Tudor period and the French Revolution. I might join Bookjumper in buying books only from bookshops too.
