  1. Ah that's brilliant! She's an amazing storyteller isn't she :D I loved the character of Kitty Howard....she was funny to read. I can't believe that her Uncle sent 2 of his neice's to the tower with little concern as long as he had a secure place at the King's side.....men eh :D

You'll have to let me know when you pick up the others. You've inspired me to get started with the Virgin's Lover now

  2. I usually go to Waterstones as the store in Newcastle is housed in Emerson's Chambers (which is a gorgeous ornate building constructed at the turn of 20th Century) which just happens to be my favourite building in the world. I love to buy a book or two from there and then head to the tea rooms for an hour (or 5) of tea and literature 3 for 2 offers are great too! I also use Amazon too for the odd 1p book and we have a good secondhand book store in the Grainger Market but it has no order at all (unless you're the owner....he can find any book at the drop of a hat!)
  3. Haaa! He pulled some kinda crazy karate stance too Eeee I haven't laughed that hard in ages!
  4. I've just watched the episodes with Dane's nightmare and I've had tears streaming down my face with laughter! Jonas, bless him, was holding his heart out of fright! And then he had a nightmare himself He's had me in stitches!
  5. I'm poorly at the moment so have just re-read the first four Sookie Stackhouse books. A bit of a comfort 'Eric Northman' reading I suppose Of course I can't stop there so I'm going to have to read the next five too
  6. I've been tucked up in bed with a cold and the first four books of Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse books I've read them before but they're just as good as the first time.
  7. Hey :D

Well I think the best order to read them in is:

The Constant Princess (I haven't read this but think it's about Katherine of Aragon coming to England to await her marriage to Prince Arthur and then Henry)

The Other Boleyn Girl (Katherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn)

The Boleyn Inheritance (Anne of Cleves and Katherine Howard)

The Queens Fool (This book takes place after the death of Henry VIII and looks at the end of Edward VI's reign, then Mary I's reign and introduces Elizabeth I) I really loved this book :D

The Virgin's Lover (Elizabeth I) I have this book but haven't read it yet so I'm not sure how good it is.

The Other Queen (Mary Queen of Scots)

I don't think she has written about Jane Seymour or Katherine Parr yet unfortunately. Hope this helps :D Enjoy!

  8. That's tickled me!
  9. Welcome to the Forum! Just wondering (looking at your username) if you're into historical fiction? Have fun xx
  10. Definitely a nightmare! I hope Stephen goes too. He's really grating Gleeeeeeeeee! (I didn't think last night's episode was as good as the earlier two but it was still a million times better than CBB eh!)
  11. I think they already have . I know the individual sonds each week are released on itunes.
  12. Me too Not a great deal happened really did it. Hopefully next week will have a higher dose of energy
  13. I didn't see it either (I was watching GLEE!!!!!) but I did see a tiny bit of the later episode and there was no sign of Sov. I'm thinking she must have been given the boot! Whoooo! I think Stephen and Ivana are up for eviction next. I've lost interest too to be honest (however I had a dream that I was dating Alex Reid!!! Eugh!)

  16. I thought there were two episodes tonight.....I think my BF has tried to pull the wool over my eyes so he can have the tv to himself sooner! The cheek! Thanks for that
  17. Hmmm........... 1. Henry VIII as I'd like to know what he'd make of 2010 and the lack of power the monarchy has now compared to 1509-1547. 2. Russell Brand as he's my favourite comic and everyone will probably need a laugh after Henry's been chatting. 3. Lester Bangs as I'd like to know more about the book he was in the middle of writing before he died. Plus he used to hang around with Blondie, Lou Reed and was involved in the whole CBGB scene. 4. Andy Warhol as I'd like to hear his about his life, especially the Velvet Underground/Factory era.
  18. God I think I'd just smother Sov in her sleep if I were in that house. She's so greedy! Although it is funny watching the other housemates getting annoyed by her What did everyone think of the whole Stephen Baldwin/Alex Reid prayer thing. I though Alex was going to cry! Bless him.....I think I actually like him
  19. My favourite meal is fast becoming banana on toast (has to be Warburton's seeded batch though). I have it every morning and sometimes again for supper I could easily have it for every meal. Yum!

    Hi!

    Welcome to the Forum
  23. I love this movie I don't really watc a lot of TV but what I do watch is the worst that broadcasting can offer. Hence the reason I'm looking forward to the new season of America's Next Top Model tonight.
  24. My common sense is saying "finish him of you fool!" while the excitable 5 year old that lives in my brain is saying "get distracted! Get distracted!!" And that 5 year old can be rather annoying.......................... Right I'm going to read Armand tonight and see how I feel about it. Hope you're having happy reading Miss F
