  1. "The two men appeared out of nowhere, a few yards apart in the narrow, moonlit lane." Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, by J. K. Rowling
  2. Well that definitely sounds comfy!

Next Saturday it's going to be cold...again *sighs*. Who knows when that will end after.

And the latest movie I saw was Australia, yesterday. It was faaaaaaantastic. I highly recommend it.

  3. Hello, Booknutt, and welcome! I hope you have a wonderful time around here
  4. Why thank you! Your avatar is still too adorable. How are you doing?

  5. That's exactly why I do it, yes. Besides, I think that if you can't tell your own parents how you truly feel, how will it be easier for you to tell the rest of the world?

And I'm sorry for the cold :(. It's warmer still here. I'm just not looking forward to next Saturday.

What part of the movie are you on?

  6. lol No I haven't read the book, but I might give it a shot. After all, if the reviews from the movie are so different from those about the book, then that means that the book might definitely be worth a chance.
  7. Yea I tend to say how I feel no matter what, unfortunately, which is what tends to start up fights *sighs*

I'm glad about the snow though! It's warmed here as well.

  8. Ugh, I'm so sorry to hear that. I don't know if you like snow yourself but considering that I was extremely annoyed by how cold it was all of last week, I'm not so sure that right now I'd welcome it.

It's warmed up around here, but according to the weather news it will be cold again this upcoming Saturday. Hopefully Friday will still be warm enough when me and the parents go to the theater.

  9. Two small fish fillets and a mixed salad with Italian dressing.

    new here

    Welcome to the forum, Leah
  11. Hopefully even more so soon enough. My fingers are already itching to pick up the next book that I'm going to be reading
  12. Did you watch the film? Or are you like me, who prefers to read the book before watching the movie (though I unfortunately saw the movie already, in this case)?
  13. Just dropping you a little hello ;)

  14. Hello there :) Just dropping by to say that I absolutely adore your avatar ;)

  15. Could I imagine myself living in an old castle?! Of course! Just add in the knight and I'll be one happy camper *g*

  16. Agreed on that Joker fact.

Today was...not as fun as yesterday. I had a bit of a fight with mom as she told me (for the 100th time) of a good deal of things that stress her out, in turn stressing me out, so I finally cracked and now we're on a no-talking basis.

Have fun with the snow? :P

  17. *leaves ya a lil' greeting*

  18. Well I'm flattered and will be more than glad to check out those images once/if you put them up. I do have a fondness for architecture, and if you add up a touch of Gothic to it, well...what's not to love? :D

  19. I'm sure there's at least one other person on this forum who doesn't have a TBR pile, Ceinwenn. My first official one was when I joined the forum actually (which was not long ago, lol), and before that it was just a random list of books so I'd know what I preferred for when I went book shopping.
  20. I had some last night before heading for bed. I couldn't resist . Enjoy yours!
  21. It was a good film, but I still can't understand what all the hype is about. It's worth watching, at least once, and Kate Winslet's acting truly is good. The plot is not at all bad either. So at the very least for that, I'd recommend it. I hope you enjoy it when you see it.
  22. I just found a copy of it at my usual library. I will definitely be reading it!
  23. That's not such a bad thing though, is it? At any rate, I'm just glad to find books that I end up truly enjoying when I finally get to them
  24. That's so true. Happy readings to you, lola-rose
  25. I started out reading from the first book in my TBR pile, doing down in order. Now, every time I find a new book that interests me and that I've listed towards the end of the pile, that's what I start reading first . Considering how large my TBR pile has gotten, who knows when I'll get to the first books I listed.
