  1. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. Some of my friends say I'm absolutely silly for thinking as I do when it comes to audio books. Then again some of my friends don't quite enjoy reading...
  2. Thank you, Nici , and hello yourself.
  3. Thank you very much, and hello to you as well
  4. I haven't done a count yet (I will soon enough), but there must be at least 50+ books in my TBR pile. I can't wait.
  5. I've never tried audio books. I'm not quite sure if I should give them a try because for some odd reason I keep thinking that I'm going to lose concentration on it or get bored
  6. And thanks for the friends invite :)

  8. It has its good parts, but all in all it's not one of the best books that I've come across. The plot-line was not bad, and the narrative keeps one interested. But when the author started in on the historical facts (which usually keep me incredibly engrossed), she lost me. I don't believe that everyone can give one details on history and still keep them as involved in the topic as they could, and Elizabeth Kostova (for me, as personal point of view) seems to be one of those. However, it's still a book worth reading and I'm still glad that I got my hands on it. Absolutely. I have to make up for those two years of no reading
  9. That's my motto :D

  10. Oh I've been meaning to read that forever! I should put it on my TBR pile.

  12. The Scarlet Pimpernel, by Baroness Orczy. I've wanted to for read it for a long time but have never managed to thus far.
  13. I tend to buy my books at my favorite bookstore: Barnes & Noble. I prefer going to the store but lately I've been purchasing them at their store's online shopping center. Mostly because the majority of the books I've been reading these days cannot be found at the store itself, but they tend to be available online no matter what.
  14. Thanks to everyone for their warm welcomes. I'm sure that I'm going to enjoy my time here immensely. Oh I don't doubt that. Yesterday only it took me a good long while before I was able to log off after I joined
  15. Thank you very much, Charm, that was very sweet of you :)

  19. Oh my, I'm only the twelfth person to vote in (though I'm not sure if more posted as I've not read all the posts). At any rate, I wasn't born in America, but it is where I happen to be living (and have been living for the past 13 1/2 years) at the moment .
