  1. Hello! I have no idea. Very enthusiastic posting?
  2. Well there goes another book to add to my TBR pile
  3. Hello there I've been debating whether or not to read Goldman's The Princess Bride for some time. I'd love to know what you think of it when you get around to reading it, Kylie . And I see that you're reading The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde currently. How do you like it thus far?
  4. And thank you very much for the friends request.

  5. It's been far too long for me since I read it, but the novel stayed with me forever. I should give it a good read one day soon :)

Very nice to meet you too supergran ;)

  6. Same here I'm rooting for The Reader on Best Motion Picture category. And I believe that Kate Winslet did a fantastic job--then again, I'm a Kate Winslet fan. I'm trying to watch Doubt and some of the other movies before the awards come around.
  7. Welcome to you! I myself just only joined a few days ago but I love it here already, and I hope that you'll feel right at home as well.
  8. I aim to help
  9. I guess I'm just not satisfied with the ending that Jane had more than anything. Though that couldn't be helped, as the Scribe Virgin mentioned and stated quite clearly that . I wasn't too happy with Phury's book either by the way . I thought it lagged too much at the beginning, and then ended abruptly after all that he had been through. I also didn't feel the chemistry between him and Cormia that was there between the other brothers and their mates. From V's book I would have accepted that, because V--to me at least--is the least soft in the pack. But Phury just seemed capable of much more emotion towards Cormia than he showed. Though, considering his past and all experiences with and due to Z, I guess it makes sense. The first three books were all about the brothers and their respective shellan. The last two books were more about the individual brother, rather than him and their mates. At least that's how I see it. And it's not a bad thing. But as the series starts with one thing, it's a bit difficult to get used to something else once one gets to book 5.
  10. Mhm, yea, that's pretty much how it goes. And some cost even less than that, which is fantastic if you're in need of those prices. I say go for it
  11. I just read a synopsis of it on the Barnes & Noble site (you got me curious ). It sounds rather interesting! Would love to hear how it is once you've been able to finish reading it.
  12. All of her books have one fantastic ending. Except V's book. I'm still not satisfied with that ending...at all.
  13. I actually agree with you there. I've been here only days, not even a week, but I'm getting out of the reading funk I was in for two or so weeks (I hate it when that happens).

    Have fun ;)

  14. lol, that would be great. you suddenly seem extremely excited to soon be able to read as much as you want (not that I fault you in the least! :D)

  15. It wasn't so much that books were forced upon me so much as the fact that I battled all the books I had to read for classes 'til I finally realized I enjoyed it immensely (it all happened when I turned 13 ). I hope you get to read as many books as possible! And good luck
  16. Thanks, BookBee lol, and yes we did, and a rather fun conversation that was
  17. Maybe his form of happiness will be fulfilled in a different way though, which I've thought about. Perhaps it won't come in the form of a female companion, but in some other means (though, yes, it wouldn't be the way that I would prefer him ending).
  18. Amazon sells used books much cheaper than new ones. That could be yet another option.
  19. Yay!!! I'm very glad to hear that hon :D You look comfy too :P

  20. Yes, true, but Ward has a habit of never making any one character in her books truly and completely happy. There's always a twist, a turn, something in there that does not render a happily ever after. Which, come to think of it, is partly why I like her books so much. They're realistic. Ironically, considering the genre.
  21. Hoping for the best for your aunt. We're not well acquainted as of yet, but I can certainly understand what you're going through at the moment.

  22. Enjoying your stay? *g*

  23. Yea I know, you prefer having the books yourself as well. But hey, if the first plan of action fails...
  24. All of them, except Tohr, for obvious reasons.
  25. You'll manage. I know you will. Though they might have the books at a library perhaps?
