  1. If you go to the top of your page and click on book club forum, go to the study section and you will see a link to reading lists. Check some of them out to get an idea and then add your own 'thread' of your book list. Hope this helps
  2. Excellent! Here's another - IRISH BLONDE An attractive blonde from Dublin arrived at the casino and bet twenty-thousand dollars on a single roll of the dice. She said, 'I hope you don't mind, but I feel much luckier when I'm 'completely nude'. With that, she stripped from the neck down, rolled the dice and yelled, 'Come on, baby, Mama needs new clothes!' As the dice came to a stop, she jumped up and down and squealed...'YES, YES, I WON, I WON!' She hugged each of the dealers and then picked up her winnings and her clothes and quickly departed. The dealers stared at each other dumbfounded. Finally, one of them asked, 'What did she roll?' The other answered, 'I don't know - I thought you were watching.' MORAL OF THE STORY ~ Not all Irish are stupid.. Not all blondes are dumb, But all men are men.

:006: Cya again soon! Have fun? maybe not  lol
  4. It might be an idea to check out her website. She's also like Cornwell in that they are in chronological order although they are still a good read in on their own.

Ugh sounds like fun - I hate supermarkets . I do mine online and get it delivered at the cheapest time.

  6. Hi there Welcome to the forum Have you read any of the Jackie Collins or Jilly Cooper novels? - they can be a fun read! Light hearted and definately take your mind off humdrum life. It might be an idea for you to compile a list of what you have read and put it in the reading lists section so as you dont get a lot of posts about books you've already read. Hope you enjoy the forum

I was just about to send u a message! lol No I have'nt and I asked my OH but his replies were worse than mine  Good thread you started too - its gonna be hard for me though to think of clean ones! and you had a naked man in your story already pmsl they're supposed to be clean!:motz::lol:

You feeling any better yet? Do you have stuff to take?

  8. I have read all the Scarpetta books too and enjoyed them all (nice one btw on realising theres more - lucky you). I'm not that keen on Cornwell's other fiction though. I've also read all the Tempe Brennan series by Kathy Reichs and they are just as good, in fact I would be hard pushed to pick a favourite out of the two authors. Kathy's new novel Devil Bones is out and I can't wait to get a hold of a copy!
  9. Great idea Bev Good story too I have a joke instead of a story. Mick and Paddy are in the Pub having a wee drink when Paddy brings out a goldfish bowl with two goldfish in it. Mick says, "That's a grand pair of goldfish ye got there Paddy. Have ye named them yet?" Paddy says, "As a matter of fact I have. This one's called One and this one's called Two." "Them's strange names for a couple of fish," says Mick, "why did you call them that?" he asks. Paddy replies, "Well if One dies, I've still got Two left."

That last sentence you put in for torrid is really good. You have the same sense of humour I can relate to! Although I can't think of anything clean enough to reply with  lol so I won't! Nice one. Gonna go on now hope you feel better soon :friends0:Go back to bed!!

Aw thats a shame you're not feeling good luckily I've missed the cold so far :sneeze:thank goodness! I hope I dont get it either I have to go in for back surgery soon and they wont do it if I'm sick. You know I find the best way to stop your nose running is to lie flat on your back (not what you're thinking ) You should be in bed with the Tv on or better still a good book!:D Glad to see your sense of humour isn't suffering (we gonna get thrown off here for profanities ) to feel better xo

I'm doing good - much better now I've had a wee chuckle  Piper snoring her head off in her bed beside me jeez she makes some noises

    How've u been?

  14. I would have to agree with you here. I loved Grease 1 and was really disappointed wth Grease 2. It really bombed. I do really like Michelle Pfiefer too and think she does any genre really well but especially romantic comedies. Having said that I think she was great in Scarface too.
  15. Ew ...I don't like the liver, squid or olives - I do like the sprouts and I absolutely love black pudding! The white pudding isn't bad either, not as good as the black though - delicious with toast! Havn't had rainbow drops in years - they were lovely though
  16. Any of the 'Scary Movie' series. Absolute waste of time.
  17. Yes I'm fine - how you doing?

  18. Just passing - thought I'd say hi!

    Hello!

Hi there Sean! :welcome2: Welcome to the forum
  22. I hate finishing a book - especially if I've really enjoyed it so usually I start on the next one straight away
  23. Yes I have. I have read certain books and have made me question religion. They just made me think 'Yeah I suppose that's possible too, no more impossible than what we were led to believe in the first place.' They left me not sure what to think anymore. Hate that feeling!
  24. Pork chops and garlic mushrooms tonight. My hubby cooked it too Its always nicer when someone else cooks it for you
  25. Wow that looks amazing! You have views like I do. We can see for miles in every direction - sometimes I feel like I'm living on top of the world! It's glorious in the summer, not so great in the winter lol
