  1. 'Well, look what the cat dragged in,' Marla Simms bellowed, giving Sara a pointed look over her silver-rimmed bifocals. Indelible by Karin Slaughter

  15. Thanks Inver for your kind thoughts and i hope your Dad's good phase lasts a good while. Unfortunately I lost my Dad in 2001 through exactly the same thing as my Mum, (seems like history repeating itself) although she seems to be suffering from it a lot longer.

They say its hereditary - theres no hope for me then! Too much of a coincidence for me to escape it methinks! lol ... If I start goin on about what time the next train is coming or asking everyone if they sure they have the same colour socks on just bann me from the forum :10_confused::crazy:

  16. :welcomeboard:Hi Horrorfan! Good to meet ya!

  18. Hi Claire :D

:welcomebcf: Nice to meet ya! I also love the gory serial killer type novels (especially the graphic details ). Check out my reading list for some great ones. The Tess Gerritsen ones are in order (the rizzoli series is anyway) they kind of carry on the storyline in the next book. As do the books by richard montanari which IMHO are even better!

    Have fun :D

  19. I wanted to find a site where i could find unbiased recommendations for books similar in taste to my likes. Theres so many new authors out there that its very hard to choose a new read. I put book forums into yahoo search and this site was the first i went into. I checked it out, liked what i saw and joined up straight away!

Oh my goodness bev i've just been looking at your albums.

Your pics of your mum reminded me so much of my own and your poem had me in tears:cry2:. My mum is still alive living in a nursing home. She's 80 but she has severe dementia and doesn't know anyone or where she is most of the time, apart from the very odd time when she seems to realise where she is and cries that she just wants to die and be with Dad. Its hearbreaking, its like grieving for someone who is still alive.

Then i looked at the album of your furry friends and that made me worse!:weeping::weeping: but in a good way? if u know wot i mean :giggle: They are beautiful! Bailey is so cute and the pics of Rosie as a pup hav made me wanna go hoke out pics of mine as a pup too! My hubby is looking at me as if i'm not wise - bawling one min then laughing the next lol So i'm gonna go sort myself out and look up old pics. Thanks :friends0:

  21. Hi Madcow:) After reading your reviews of the Tess Gerritsen medical thrillers and seeing how much you enjoyed them i've decided to add Stolen and Harvest to my wishlist They didnt appeal to me at first but they do now! I hope i enjoy them as much as you did
  22. thank you wordsgood! We used to show our first one and i never came across one which was vicious in any way - even with other strange dogs. When our first one died we got our present girl and she is so friendly and lovable and as you say a real snuggle buddie! (I love that term!)
