  1. Born reader. Even won a competition once in school for reading (& writing book reports on) the most books out of everyone in the school that year.
  2. Charm, I think you'll love The Time Traveller's Wife! I'm about 1/2 way through uit, but haven't picked it (or anything else for that matter) up in over a week. Until our Budget is approved at work I am too busy & too tired to read anything! Roxi - glad you liked Too Close to Home! I loved it & would agree with you about the ending. I though Jim Cutter was a very funny character & agree that he did come out with some great lines.
  3. I didn't know that he was gay until I read about it in this weekend's Sunday Times - there was a long article about him in there (glad I bought that paper - we only bought it to get the free Shawshank Redemption dvd!) I was gutted because I fancy the pants off him........... Oh well, I guess I can chalk that up to another gorgeous man I can't have! Kell, I do hope you get to see him - he's brilliant live & far sexier in person! Far more charismtic, too! Hmmmmm, maybe it's a good thing he's gay?
  4. Oh my goodness! That is so sad!
  5. Oh, I love Derren Brown! I saw him live in London a couple years ago & he was brillant! He does almost always tell people how he does the tricks (at least on his live shows he does). At the end of the show he goes through how he manipulates people into making the choices he wants them to, or how he predicts what they will say/do by their body language & reactions to the things he says/does. I'm watching the show now. Can't wait to see how he did it!
  6. Definately agree with you there, Adam! Family Ties Dawson's Creek Friends MASH The Facts of Life

Hey Jessi, welcome to the forum!
  8. Still reading The Time Traveller's Wife - really enjoying it, but I have so little time to read these days!
  9. Make that three of us born in the same year, as those were the choices for me, too.
  10. Hello! I'm ok, thanks! I am having real internet issues at the moment (as I am still living in a hotel). My new hotel doesn't offer free wifi & I am not paying

  11. I had a bowl of vegetable soup & some chicken chasseur with glazed carrots.
  12. This sounds like a good one, but there are only 1 or 2 on either list for my birth year that interest me.....maybe after some research I might find some others? Would be interesting!
  13. Clare: It's hard being left behind. - The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
  14. Hi NovaLee! I'm in the UK - kinda between locations at the moment. I have a flat in Bedford, 70 minutes north of London, but I am only there at the weekends as I work in Nottingham. My OH & I are in the process of moving there, searching for houses & all that great fun stuff!

What about you? Where in Canada are you?

  15. Hello! I'm originally from New Brunswick, but I went to Uni in Toronto & lived in Hamilton after that for a few years before moving over here. I miss it a lot!

  16. Hi NovaLee, welcome to the forum, from a Canuck on the other side of the pond.

  17. Hi Blithe, just thought I'd pop in & say hi from one Canadian to another! Welcome to the forum!

  18. Wow! Another Canuck on the forum! Welcome Blithe, hope you enjoy your stay!
  19. I started reading The Time Traveller's Wife on the train on Friday & though I am not very far in, I am loving it!
  20. A Lifetime Burning was the 3rd book of Linda Gillard's which I have read. It was a very challenging read - so completely different from her first 2 I had read, but it was an excellently written challenge! Well done Linda - many an author would have shied away from such potentially controversial topics! 8/10
  21. Can't wait to see it! My internet connection is about to expire, so will see you tomorrow! :D

  22. I was at a networking dinner for work & had a delicious chicken fillet with bbq sauce caramelised onions, garlic & parmesan mash potatoes & grilled butternut squash with pumpkin seeds. Deluxe Chocolate brownie for dessert! I'm stuffed!
  23. Good, but tired. Was at work thing all day, then "networking" dinner from 6:30 & have only just got back to my hotel room half an hour ago! How're things going since D's launch?

  24. Evening my dear! Just got it! Thank you , but no need to apologise! How's you?
