  1. Who in heaven's name is that in your avatar? He's lovely!

  2. Imeeting think it would be brilliant! We could rent a small meeting room in a hotel & spend the weekend yacking about all of the books we are reading :readingtwo:, then we could have seminars where we'd invited authors to come talk about the writing :writing:/publishing process & we could have a book swap :reading:..............where do I sign up?

  3. In answer to your question - the bag can hold a couple books depending on what else I have in it & yes, I definately agree.........Steve Jones is definately easy on the eyes - especially in that picture!

  4. I think that's a brilliant idea! Where would be central to most of us? We should make a meet up post & then make an over night of it & I would book us all the hotel rooms as I get a fab discount on hotels........hmm, I'm getting carried away here, aren't I?

Your holiday sounds so relaxing, Diane! That's the kind of thing I would love to do this summer, but all of the Centre Parks are pretty inaccessable if you don't drive (& neither my OH or I do)

  5. Aw thanks, Inver! You know it really sucks that my OH won't go see any chick flicks cause he is my best friend & all my travelling around means that I don't have any friends in the area I am currently living in. I'm so sad, I have no friends!

  6. Hey DayDream! :welcome2:to the forum!
  7. I definately want to see the movie, but really wish that I could see it with my Mom & sisters. As it is, if I am going to get to see it while it is in the cinema, I will have to go see it by myself.
  8. The kitchen in the hotel is closed tonight so I had to have take away pizza. Really wish I hadn't!
  9. Thanks Charm! Must see if we can find a suitable substitute.............
  10. I finished Dexter by Design a fair while ago but just didn't get the review written until today. As per usual, I loved this book! I sailed through it & am now officially in Dexter withdrawl (which according to reliable sources is predicted to last for about 2 years) - oh the torture! 9/10
  11. I joined, but can't seem to find my way around. I tried to find you, Heather as yours was the only user name I could remember, but it told me you didn't exist!
  12. I'm several people - an American librarian, a Kenyan librarian, a young girl from a nomadic tribe in Mididima, a boy called Scar Boy, an old grandmother, a teacher & a teacher's wife.
  13. Paperback, I'm afraid. Glad you like it!
  14. Roxi, I mailed My sisters keeper to you today & you'll be happy to hear that it doesn't have the movie cover. This is the cover of the one I sent you. Hope you like it!
  15. Thanks Lexi! I knew about Andorra by Peter Cameron but decided to give that one a pass because it is supposedly set in Andorra, but is so inaccurate. Haven't heard of the other one so will definately have to check it out!
  16. Roxi, I didn't ask for you to send it back, did I?
  17. Phew! The funny thing is that I can't remember which ones it was that I didn't like either. I think it was the Rhune series, or it might be the John Pellam series.
  18. Do you have My Sister's Keeper, Roxi? If not, let me know & I'll send you mine to read.
  19. Hi Rosalind!
  20. Well........................There have been a couple that I didn't like, but that could just be me, I suppose.
  21. I was thinking the same thing, but didn't suggest it just in case she doesn't like the 1st one (though how that is possible is truly beyond me!). Especially since the second one is better than the 1st one.............Ok you should take the second one too, Kimmy!
  22. It will definately be a good holiday read!
  23. But deliciously duplicitous, devious, darkly demented Dexter would never hurt an innocent like Chrissy!
  24. I don't know! You tell me, lol! I love him, you love him, everybody loves him............come on Beth, you gotta love him, please tell us you love him!
