  1. Except for, I fear, Beth. Perhaps I am wrong, but her post didn't seem as though she was exactly taken with the book. Shame, that!

  4. Are you very far into Salem Falls? I thought that was a good one. I've just started reading The Camel Bookmobile, but have just started it so have no idea if it's good yet. So how have you been?

  12. How come a bookmark isn't one of the options? I know it's a strange thing using a bookmark as a ..................bookmark. lol! I don't have any realy peculiar habits, other than I need to be in comfy clothes to really enjoy reading. PJ's preferable.

  14. I've seen one episode of it & thought it was really good, but keep forgetting that it's on!
  15. I am indeed in Doncaster, but don't worry, I'll pick it up when I'm next home. I have about 4 books waiting to be read, so that will give me the chance to do that. I was with Rcee yesterday & she had that in her handbag!

    How are you, btw?

  16. For England I decided to read a book by a fairly recently discovered author - Linda Gillard. I had read (and loved) her book Emotional Geology, so decided to read Star Gazing (my review) as my choice for England. I couldn't have made a better choice if I had tried! I know that there are a few others on here who have read this & I know that equally, they loved it as much as I did! I think Linda has a wonderful gift of storytelling and I am sooo happy that there is a very smart publisher (or two) out there who also recognised that fact. I think Linda's books speak to a very large market & I for one will sing her praises far & wide in the hopes that people search out & buy her wonderful books!
  17. My latest read was Star Gazing by Linda Gillard - Excellent book! Highly recommend that everyone read it! A rare 10/10!
  18. Yup - that's perfect!

  20. I was out all day in a pub with a bunch of Canadians & had a rather large lunch, so didn't have dinner tonight.
  21. Hi Dusky! Welcome to the forum! Love your discription of your bedroom! All libraries should have beds in them, lol!
  22. Nah, it's not too bad. It used to be cheaper, but it costs me less to send them there than it would for them to buy them & this way my Mom, 2 sister & brother all get the chance to read them, then Mom takes them to a senior citizen's complex & to the hospital.
  23. I'm a blind 45 year old woman who is slowly falling in love with a man from Skye (but I am fighting it every step of the way)
  24. :yeahthat:I need to go buy the first 2 again, as my Mom wants to read them & I usually send them home to her, but this time I gave them away.
  25. I am soooo excited about that!!
