  1. I know this song, it was sung on a children's TV show, I think. Barney and Friends perhaps? 🤔 All Cried Out ~ Alison Moyet
  2. A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
  3. Take Me To the River ~ Talking Heads
  4. Starting One Pair of Hands by Monica Dickens, an autobiographical account of her time as a cook working for the upper classes in 1930. Having been a reluctant debutante and kicked out of acting school, she embarks on this job with no real experience. Sounds like it's going to be amusing.
  5. Don't Cross the River ~ America
  6. I haven't tried diamond art or mandala drawing but I went to a zentangle group a few years ago. Found them very relaxing and fun to draw.
  7. Don't Give Up ~ Peter Gabriel
  8. We watched a couple of these again recently, too. Always fun ... the snake pit though! 😱
  9. Give a Little Bit ~ Supertramp
  10. I'd listen to just about anything Stephen Fry narrated 😊
  11. kaleidoscope
  12. Nawww shucks ... I've missed you 😘 Yes, it's great now isn't it! So much faster. I must get used to doing the like thingy 😁 How are your foxy loxys? 🦊 ebullient
  13. The narrator of a book makes all the difference in the world! I recently started listening to The Red Notebook by Antoine Laurain but don't think I even got as far as five minutes. The narrator, Alex Wyndham, has a strange upwards intonation at the end of every sentence. Librivox is entirely free and it does have some good narrators but it also has many truly awful ones.
  14. yeasayer (hello Mr Itsmesgain! I've warned you before about disappearing down foxholes! 😂)
  15. I too gave it a 5/5. I loved the lyrical quality of the book.
  16. It IS hard! I've gone for amusing and original characters. Flavia de Luce ( from Alan Bradley books) Lord Emsworth (Blandings books by PG Wodehouse) Auntie Mame (Patrick Dennis) Ma and Pa Kettle (from The Egg and I by Betty MacDonald) Hagrid (Harry Potter books) Bertie Wooster and Jeeves (can't have one without the other) Ma and Pop Larkin (Darling Buds of May) Allan Karlsson (Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window) Max (Chronicles of St Mary's) (I'll have to bring in a few extra chairs )
