pipread Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Glad to hear that Mr. Deaver has worked for you, too, Charm! He's a great man, isn't he? Maybe we should award him the title of "Lost Mojo Reviver" I think Dexter (Jeff Lindsay) should be a contender for that award as well! Quote
pipread Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Ok! They can be co-winners! thank you Have a cookie! Quote
Ceinwenn Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Thanks! (Maybe we sould consider the cookies as the real reason for the return of the mojo? Nahhhhh!) Quote
pipread Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Thanks! (Maybe we sould consider the cookies as the real reason for the return of the mojo? Nahhhhh!) It`s funny you should say that - a chocolate chip cookie or two works wonders! Quote
Kylie Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 For a while now I've been reading less frequently than I used to, but I put it down to life not giving me enough opportunities to read. But in the last few days I've been reading much more than usual and I'm wondering if my mojo has just returned after being missing and I didn't even notice? May I have a cookie (or two) in hindsight, please? Quote
anisia Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 My mojo is better I am almost done with The Book Thief, happy!!! Quote
BookJumper Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Are you enjoying "The Book Thief"? It took me a few false starts to really get into it but I knew persevering would pay off and it did, I thought it was superb! Quote
Charm Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 *passes several cookies to Kylie* I think my mojo is waning again so I came here for cookies . I havent read anything in nearly 3 days, not even in the bath. I hope its just a blip *munches on a handful of cookies with coffee:coffee1:* Quote

whitegold Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 My book mojo is deteriorating again now that i've finished Living Dead in Dallas, I can't think of what to read next and its discouraging. Im still plowing through Running with Scissors but I'm never in the mood to read it. I need another book to hold my interest! Picking the next book to read is always so hard.. Cookie please?? Quote
Rawr Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Okay, so my reading mojo is fine and dandy. But, i would like cookies. It would inspire me to read even more. Actually, i have a problem of reading favourite books over and over which means i don't read anything new for a while which can be annoying. Quote
Chimera Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Hands over handmade Peanut Butter cookie. Okay, so my reading mojo is fine and dandy. But, i would like cookies. *grabs a stash of cookies before they get eaten by actual readers* I sort of started The N Quote
Rawr Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 *grabs a stash of cookies before they get eaten by actual readers* Noooo! I have not read hardly anything today so i qualify for the cookies! I think this offer of cookies could be counter-productive to the forum Quote
Charm Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I think this offer of cookies could be counter-productive to the forum Such blasphemy!! *unloads a 'crate' full of freshly baked double choc chip cookies* I managed to read not one, but two chapters of Dracula this evening in the bath . Nearly dropped the poor Count into the water though Note to self: Do not heat water to sauna temp, where hands get slippy. Quote
Rawr Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 *unloads a 'crate' full of freshly baked double choc chip cookies* That's right, fight the system! Quote

I think this offer of cookies could be counter-productive to the forum Such blasphemy!! *unloads a 'crate' full of freshly baked double choc chip cookies* That's right, fight the system! haha, yes, cookies are our secret weapon to pull people away from reading... we're going to take over the forum and turn it in a tea and cookie salon *cracks up* Quote
Charm Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Oh dear ... I just read my last post. Just as well I spelt Count right! Quote
Kylie Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 *passes several cookies to Kylie* I think my mojo is waning again so I came here for cookies . Thanks Charm! *accepts cookies gratefully and belatedly hands some back to Charm to assist with her waning mojo* Quote
Mac Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Oh my God! I can't get into any new book! I finished Bad Things by Michael Marshall and just can't concentrate on any new books! *sobs* It's the one way I can escape from things, dammit. It's been nearly twenty-four hours. I'm going into toxic shock.... My problem is, is that I don't want to pick up my staple favourites (Lee Child, Murakami, etc.) because that breaks my 'rule'. I need to see a head doctor - I think I'm a bit odd... Quote
Charm Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Relax Mac Your reading mojo loves you unconditionally and will return. Here, have a cookie .... Quote
Mac Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 *crunch crunch crunch* Thanks, Charm. Just what I needed. Quote
