  1. Hello there and welcome to BCF, Future! Glad you joined up .
  2. If I don't think I'll re-read a book and it has no sentimental value (like it was a gift from a family member or once belonged to a passed-on relative), I'll either bring it to my volunteer group where we pack boxes for soldiers or I'll bring them to the local 1/2 Price Books to sell them. I too don't really like hanging onto things unless they can be used. If I truly disliked a book and it was a gift from a loved one I guess I would hang onto it for a little bit longer but eventually my need for space would probably force me to get rid of those too .
  3. Hey there and welcome! Glad you joined us .
  4. I picked up some ground chicken yesterday in hopes to make white bean and chicken chili tonight. It'll give me plenty of leftovers for work the next few days so hopefully I like it because I've never made it before!
  5. Welcome, BooksforLunch! Very glad you found us and decided to join . What part of Canada are you from?

Hello and welcome, Carla! Glad you found us and joined up .
  8. Welcome to BCF, Jennyflower!
  9. Hey there and welcome, Earthworm! Glad to have you .
  10. Ditto to what Chesil said, Nici. I liked reading from Edwards POV - it really gives you insight on how much he struggled. It's also interesting to read about how he actually 'hears' other people's thoughts. Give it a read if you have a chance .
  11. The same thing happened to me and my friend! She told me about True Blood and how much she loved it, then I told her about the fact that they were books first and then all of a sudden she's read most of them and now on the last book of the series and I've only just finished the first!
  12. Alright! Let me know what you think, Nici .
  13. Coffee is definitely my drink of choice but I do have a cup of tea occasionally. If I'm buying it in the store, I just buy what I know since I hate to waste money experimenting on something I might hate. I get PG Tipps, and I take it with milk and 2 heaping spoonfuls of honey .
  14. Why, no! As a matter of fact it isn't! Have you watched it yet with the commentary on? It's the only way I watch it now...
  15. I had no idea they were making a third installment of Toy Story, fun! Yeah I loved the first two as well, they are hilarious. I never seem to forget Mrs. Potatohead's line to her husband "I'm packing your angry eyes!" Does anyone know what this '9' is? I was watching some clips of Comic Con panels and saw that Tim Burton was there promoting this. It's an animated film that comes out in September here in the US and features the voices of Elijah Wood, John C Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, etc. I had never heard anything about it until just a couple of days ago.
  16. Glad you liked Eclipse, Nici! I would think that BD comes out pretty soon in paperback; it seems like it has been a long time that it came out in the first place. You can always re-read the other 3 books or watch the film a couple (dozen) times .
  17. I'm afraid I won't be able to wait very long to see New Moon, but mark my words I am taking a half-day from work and going to a noon showing! Hopefully I'll avoid any screaming teens then. I can't wait to see Sherlock Holmes! I haven't seen the trailer yet, but I'm definitely excited for it, and very curious to see how Guy Ritchie is as director. I'm so used to strictly seeing his English gangster films (which I love, btw) I really want to know how he pulls a period piece like this off. I'm also anxiously awaiting The Boat the Rocked. It doesn't come out in the US until later in August for some reason, but I do love Philip Seymour Hoffman so hopefully it'll be worth the wait .
  18. Going out to dinner later tonight to this place called 'The Local,' which is an Irish pub/cafe. I've never been there before so am exciting to try something new!
  19. OMG I clearly need to watch this Eric video on YouTube! I love Lafayette too, and I, like others, I prefer him to Tara, mostly because of that chip on her shoulder like you said, Charm. Although I do think she's good for Sookie. I was bad and made my friend tell me who it was since I haven't seen any of the 2nd season yet .
  20. Ditto to what Adam said
  21. I haven't seen any of the 2nd season yet, but I think Tera (or is it Tara?) is hilarious in the first. She didn't have that big of a presence or maybe that big of a personality in the books, did she? LaFayette is great too, and well, all the characters in fact! I'm so tempted to buy that song on iTunes "I wanna do bad things to you..."
  22. I had a nice lunch out today so will be having leftovers of that tonight, which was a yummy chicken/artichoke/swiss sandwich. May have to make some popcorn later too...
