Ironically, after only saying a few days ago that I very rarely cry at books, I actually cried towards the end of The Book Thief today, however I am feeling ill so naturally more emotional.
The books are far far better than the film. I enjoyed the film, but it's nothing like the books. I think I read them all within a week I was so hooked!
I'm now really freaked out that you were only 7 when the first Harry Potter book came out! You've just made me feel really old haha!
I've never read any of them myself, don't think they're really my kind of thing, give me Robert Rankin anyday
Hey, yeah I am enjoying The Book Thief so far, I love the fact that it's narrated by Death hehe! I'm completely obsessed with Friends at the moment for some reason, strange!
Well this isn't particularly modern, but it's fairly practical for people who like reading in the bath.

Actually, there are quite a few cool things on Amazon.
Hey Natalie, welcome to the forum! Have you read The Time Traveler's Wife? It's a romantic novel with a twist, I finished it last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it, I'm sure you've seen the trailers for the film on the tv, and there are many people on here who would (hopefully) agree with me on the recommendation.
