  1. It is good to see Gazza making so many lists. God I miss Gazza.
  2. I am 99% sure that Red Dragon was the third movie in the series. I think it went 'Silence of the Lambs', 'Hannibal', 'Red Dragon' and then 'Hannibal Rising', which was a prequel to the other movies. Therefore, you would be cool to watch 'Silence of the Lambs' and 'Hannibal' before watching 'Red Dragon'. Definately get Red Dragon though, it was probably my favourite of the four!
  3. Wow, you have to read it! If you liked the Da Vinci Code you would love Angels and Demons.
  4. Whilst I also preferred Angels and Demons I will definately read this one.
  5. No particular order... Pearl Jam Stone Temple Pilots Jeff Buckley The Rolling Stones Audioslave
  6. Welcome Dan. Good name you have there.
  7. Pretty obvious she is just trying to get a quick pay-off to shut her up IMO.
  8. I read the first book over the weekend. It was easy to read but I didn't really get into it much to be honest.
  9. Finished Vampire Beach: Bloodlust on the weekend and read the first 50 pages of The Tea Rose by Jennifer Donnelly.

I don't think he trains as hard. To be honest he doesn't look in terrific shape to me and I think his strength is down.

It is simply a case of lost motivation. The Federer of a few years back would destroy the current version.
  12. Yeah, I haven't seen any hardback versions out here either. In relation to Midnight Sun, I think she got half way through it and then gave up writing it after it was leaked on the internet without her permission. You can get a partial copy from her website I think.
  13. Oh yeah, they are definately readable, they just sometimes leave me a little flat. I don't know if it is because I am vampired-out at the moment or if the books just aren't as good. It is one of the reasons I am going to read Bloodlust. I think if I read that and it is a little dull to me I just need to move on from that entire genre, at least for the moment.
  14. I have read the first four now. The funny thing is I'm still not sure about them, haha.
  15. Yeah, people on here have been talking about it positively of late so that was one of the reasons I have chosen it as my next one.
  16. Finished 'Dead to the World'. Next I am going to read Vampire Beach: Bloodlust by Alex Duval before tackling The Tea Rose.
  17. Welcome! If you are looking for a place to get good book recommendations then this is definately a great place. Pretty much all of my Books to be Read are just pinched from people's reading blogs.
  18. Great review of TTW Bethany. I certainly see what you are saying with a number of the points you made, I just got so caught up in the characters and the story I chose to just go with it I think!
  19. Yeah, it's strange. I don't like it when they don't like them at all but then it can irritate me if they like them too much. I dunno, I'm nutso.
  20. I finally got my girlfriend to read it over the holidays and she didn't like it. Relationship over, obviously.
  21. Funnily enough I think this might have happened with The Lovely Bones. I was expecting a great deal and whilst I did enjoy it, I just don't think I established as significant a connection with the characters as I have in other books I have read this year.
  22. I went up the coast for the Easter holidays. I finished two books up there - Lovely Bones and Rapture in Death and I have just started Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris.
  23. I finished The Book Thief this morning. I rated it at 9/10, I thought it was fantastic. I think that this was a book that I would usually struggle to get into actually, however my existing interest in life in Nazi Germany and the exceptional writing style and portrayal of characters by Zusak made the difference. I loved the book from start to finish. I would not term it as exceptionally addictive yet I read it at every opportunity I had, which I think speaks volumes for the quality of the book. Next up I am going to get back on the 'In Death' horse and read the fourth in the series - 'Rapture in Death'.
  24. Yeah, this is my situation. THe first one is on my TBR pile, but I'm not sure if I am going to like it. Might as well give it a go though.
  25. My girlfriend received it for Christmas a while back and she tried to read it and did not like it at all, which is odd, considering she generally loves most books.
