  1. The only books I have re-read were those I had to study for school. To Kill a Mocking Bird I read a few times I recall.
  2. My younger brother is a fantastic cook and we are all having dinner together tonight. Roast pork with roast potatoes and a pear tart for desert. Very much looking forward to that.
  3. Borders is completely dominant out here in Australia. No other book store comes close. And yeah, it has such a wide variety of books/movies/music products that only a relatively small section of the massive store is actually dedicated to fiction novels, so the range is poor. Online is definately the way to go for me. Although I wanted to start mixing in a couple of classics into my reading and Borders has most of those so I will probably buy them from there.
  4. Malorie needs to get cracking on another Noughts and Crosses book. I had to start reading another book last night. It was devestating!

  5. I know. Last Saturday I compiled a list of books I wanted to buy, mainly from people's recommendations on here, and took it down to Borders. The list contained around 10 fiction titles, all which seemed to be relatively popular. Borders didn't have a single one!
  6. Our Borders out here in Brisbane didn't have it. They rarely have any of the books I am after. From the brief time I spent in the UK a year or so ago it seemed that your book shops were far superior to ours.
  7. I always check in Borders before I purchase on the internet however their range is awful. I couldn't even get the 'Noughts and Crosses' books from Borders! I had to use Amazon.
  8. Very good review. Although the predictability is a but of a constant problem for the Twilight series I still enjoyed them overall and 'Eclipse' was probably my second favourite behind the first book. Hope you enjoy 'Breaking Dawn'.
  9. I just finished 'Double Cross'. I found it to be highly enjoyable, perhaps not quite as good as the first three, but still a very entertaining read. Next I am going to read JD Robb's 'Naked in Death'.
  10. Yeah, it has been almost 12 months now I think. I eat with my family or girlfriend Friday through Sunday though so it isn't completely monotonous.
  11. I don't like oysters either. I think it is the texture more than anything else that puts me off them.
  12. It is really easy, it only takes me around 15 minutes to cook. Also, I basically do not know how to cook anything else and I don't get to eat until around 8 30 so by that time I just want something that is really easy to make. I am sure at some point I will get sick of it though.
  13. I am a complete weirdo. My family and girlfriend all think it is ridiculous, and rightly so. Basically, I take a tortilla, pan fry about 150g of chicken breast, add chilli seasoning and enchilada simmer sauce, add it too the tortilla and then top with jallepinos and light cheese and grill it pizza-style for a couple of minutes in the oven. The reason? It is easy, healthy and I like it. I guess I am just one of those strange ppl that can happily eat the same thing day in day out.
  14. Lol, I am also 24. If that one was in the teen section I might have a look at it. I am dieing for her to write more YA stuff, I think she is great.
  15. I haven't read any of Malorie's other books as of yet. I investigated the possibility the other day however her others seemed to be aimed more at younger readers. Is that one more of a Young Adult book?
  16. Haha, no I mean I literally have the same meal every night from Monday to Thursday. Every Monday through Thursday night I have exactly the same meal. Week after week. Strange, no?
  17. I never got all the hype either to be completely honest. I remember the first one entertaining me mildly, then finding the second one just a bit ridiculous and annoying and then not bothering with the third. Like you I wouldn't see another sequel.
  18. I definately prefer mixed genre books. I find them to be the most intriguing.
  19. You are not alone. My girlfriend absolutely despised both of the first two and did not see the third. I didn't mind the first one but I thought the second was terrible and didn't bother with the third either.
  20. I agree. I would be in trouble without this place for sure. I only started reading again this year. When I was younger and did read a lot my reading was confined to a very small number of authors and subject areas. Registering here has definately expanding what I read and I am enjoying reading a great deal more because of it.
  21. It is good to see the movement is gaining momentum.
  22. LOL. It fills me with pride and joy to see ppl adding it to their lists. You won't be sorry, you have my word.
  23. I have never read a classic. After your review I may give Jane Eyre a go. It sounds like a reasonable place to start.
  24. This is going to sound pretty ridiculous but I have exactly the same thing for dinner every night Monday through Thursday.
  25. Yeah, I wish she would write more Young Adult stuff as well. The rest of her work does seem a little too young. It is certainly going to be a tough ask for the book that follows Double Cross. I will have to consciously lower my expectations I think.
