  1. I've only read Twilight, but I attempted to continue with the series and found out that I could not quite do so at the moment (we'll see if I manage to get my hand wrapped around it later on). However, from what I did read, and from reading the HP series, I'd vote for Harry Potter.
  2. You could also go for reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy by J. R. R. Tolkien if you have not already read it, and/or The Hobbit, by the same author.
  3. lol, there's only one way to find out. That would be pretty amazing though. You should show off some images of your home here on the board when it's finished. I for one would love to see how all that Gothic magnificence turned out :D

  4. Well then that accident really was not your fault, lol

Oh that truly would be wonderful. But I'm guessing you mean the Heath Ledger version of the joker right? Because the previous ones are not all that impressive, to me at least, lol

  5. Yes, exactly. I keep wanting to be one for Halloween, lol

Oh you poor thing *chuckles* I'm not that bad, but I do have accidents when I least expect it. Ankle twisting, toe bumping, hitting my shoulder or arm against a door or wall when I turn the corner. Ugh!

  6. I love the nurses, they're my favorite characters. Though I don't know if you've already gotten that far into the movie. They're the creepiest element for me (it's the way they move, and the noises they make).

Me too! Though I should admit: I'm accident prone, lol

  7. Awww, that can still be yummy!
  8. Well...there are three dimensions in Silent Hill. The one where Sean Bean and the detective are, the one in which Rose is when the ash is falling constantly and everything is gray, and the one where Rose finds herself when the hellish part of Silent Hill comes about. I'd choose the Sean Bean version, lol

Oh yea my legs are great now! I've been working out since Thursday (I'm free of workout on the weekends though), and I've managed wonderfully.

  9. I just found a really old bookmark of mine of a Golden Retriever puppy atop a huge stack of classics inside a plastic cover that I had not seen in years. I might get to using it again; I remember I loved that bookmark.
  10. Yea he is on Silent Hill. Though he plays a small role...but you'll see :D

I can't wait to read the King books, but I have to finish the one I'm currently reading, then the HP one before I get to these, lol

  11. It does that to me every time!
  12. Filet mignon, mashed potatoes, and veggies...it was the best!
  13. Andaira

    Hello!

An official welcome to you, Cadenza!
  14. It doesn't really help that every now and again when I read a review by one of you guys in your blogs, I find it interesting, add the book, (such as tonight with The Treatment, by Mo Hayder in yours), and voila...another book thrown in .
  15. Oh good! I'll wait to hear what you think after you finish :)

I got Duma Key and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, by Stephen King both. And the 7th HP book.

  16. I've also been reading and hearing some wonderful reviews on this book, BookBee. Thank you for your review here, I might just give it a try when I first get a chance as it's the kind of story that would certainly interest me.
  17. This sounds like an intriguing book, lexie, despite some of the things that you mention are involved in it. It might be a possible addition to my TBR pile...may the gods help me read it all. Thanks for the review!
  18. How did you like Silent Hill?

I wasn't quite able to get all the books that I wanted to at the library, but I still managed to get some very good ones.

  19. LMFAO!!! When will you break the news to him?

  20. Thank you I will!

And oh my goodness, Charm that is absolutely fantastic that you're house's style is going to be such! I'm a little jealous *smiles*, but so happy for you. I bet you're going to feel as if you're in a dream while living there.

  21. I was very much addicted to the story after the first book, lol

I agree that it is a good series. I also would choose the books over the movies any day. Not that the movies are bad, but it's simply that the books are better. I tend to always think that whenever a movie is made from a book.

  22. I'm one who enjoyed the Harry Potter books very much so. I believe I read 1-6 in a week *g*. I'm really looking forward to getting all those books today.

  23. That's true. Well agreed there!

And of course I'll tell you. I guess I could tell you now really *g*. If possible (and I'm crossing my fingers that all the books are still there when I arrive), I'll be picking up Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows (I never read the last in the series); Utopia, by Thomas More; Duma Key, by Stephen King; and The Black Tulip, by Alexandre Dumas.

  24. Of course your instructions made sense! As you can see *g*

Wow, a new house, eh? That's certainly going to be taking a lot out of you, but hopefully it will also be a lot of fun. How far along are you from having it finished? Is it being built brand new or just re-modeled?

And I know just what you mean about those Gothic times. I tend to believe the very same thing myself. Ah, if only we had a time machine available to us.

I'm doing fantastic. Very eager to get going today and pass by the bookstore and library first thing. I have about four books that I'm going to be picking up today from the library, and then I have a few things to buy for my boyfriend at the bookstore for his birthday (which is in April, but since I already found him the perfect gift, there's really no reason to wait, lol).

  25. I put aside New Moon, by Stephenie Meyer, two days ago after reading only the first paragraph . It can't be that I'm not up for some reading because I read through half of The Princess Bride yesterday and I can't wait to pick it up one more time. I don't know when I'll pick up New Moon again as I have a line of books I'm really eager to read soon.
