  1. But Kylie! They can hold over 3000 books! Think of the book buying sprees you could have, especially in the sales! Surrender to the call!! You don't know what you're missssiinngg!
  2. It's called Kindlitis. The only relief comes from downloading books, although this in turn can fuel the flames of the condition. I myself downloaded 24 books just 2 nights ago and already I'm feeling withdrawal symptoms. :sos: Sometimes you can even forget you have ordered books, as you've probably done so in a Kindlitis haze.
  3. I've downloaded a few more on my kindle which have now been added to my wishlist .... just a few! Moon Dance (Vampire for Hire #1) – J R Rain Silver Moon (Moon Trilogy Part 3) – C L Bevill All in Time – Ciana Stone Control Freak – Reena Jacobs Lights, Camera, Monsters: Monsters in Hollywood Bk 1 – Lila Dubois The Devil and Venus Di Milo (Witches Anonymous) – Misty Evans Diary of the Displaced – Glynn James Out of the Box (On the Edge) – Kallysten Through a Dark Mist (Robin Hood Trilogy) – Marsha Canham Tales of Arcadia: The Last Witch Volume 1 – L A Jones Hunter’s Choice (The Hunters) - Shiloh Walker Heartless – Anne Elisabeth Stengl Lot’s Return to Sodom: A Liv Bergen Mystery – Sandra Brannan Silken Threads (Wexford Family Series) – Patricia Ryan Discovery Of Witches – in the county of Lancaster – Thomas Potts No Way Out - & other spooky short stories – M J A Ware Spooks & Magic (Alana Weatherbee) – Jack Sorenson My Blood Approves – Amanda Hocking Turned (Book 1 in the vampire journals) – Morgan Rice Unlucky in Death – Dan Dillard Snapdragon Alley (Dragon City Trilogy 1) – Tom Lichtenberg Freak City (Dragon City Trilogy 2) – Tom Lichtenberg The Thirteenth Unicorn – W D Newman Gallows at Twilight: WItchfinder 2 – William Hussey All but 3 off these were free, and the 3 with a price were all under a quid each
  4. Hey Chaliepud! I just sent you a friend request, I thought I'd done it ages ago! Hope you're having a good day, well... so far anyway lol xo

  5. Where the hell have you been? Do you have any idea how worried I've been about you?? *standswithhandsonhips*!!

Hehehe I kid of course ;) Did miss you loads though *hugehug* Thanks for popping in, you've caught me at a hobbling moment, between my back and my sprained limbs I'm a walking/hobbling disaster!! LOL Glad to see you back honey, hope you and the f...

  6. They're now on my wishlist! Inspired by frankie and chaliepud, I've started a book swap thread too. We're getting new shelves made so I thought it would be a good chance to have a clear out By doing so I've removed 20 books which I don't think I'd read from my TBR pile!
  7. I picked Carrie, Salems' Lot and Christine. I would have also picked Needful Things, Pet Semetary and IT if I could have, with Pet Semetary being my absolute favourite King book
  8. No reading done today yet, although I have made a list of books I wouldn't mind swapping so I'll be starting a swap thread pretty soon. I also managed to get some paperbacks today: Rachel Caine - Bite Club Nora Roberts - Birthright Nora Roberts - Dance Upon The Air
  9. That sounds great Isandriena! Hold on to it for the minute though, I'll be putting up a list of books for swap along side my wishlist so when I do perhaps you might see something on it you'd like in return The list will be going up in the next few days I think I wrote down Patricia Briggs somewhere, I must check her out again. I considered The Game but the blurb didn't grab me, do you think I'd like it? I believe Chosen Soul is good and plan to get it next time I'm on
  10. *snort!* Bahahahah! I love how you just slipped that in there. I better be invited to the wedding Ditto. I was a bit disappointed too. Loved this film! Even though I'm not that keen on Cameron Diaz Watched Grown Ups, a bit predictable but pretty funny with some great one liners
  11. Start with City Of Bones by Cassandra Clare! Great young adult book
  12. You bet! All that list is on kindle, a good deal were free and all but 1 were under a quid! I just search the kindle store, chose a topic I want and search lowest price first. It's a bit pot luck but I have enjoyed some cracking reads
  13. Oooh thanks Chesil, I'll check it out I've also quite a few to add to my TBR pile: I B Holder – Ransom X (Legacy Series) F E Heaton – Spellbound (Vampires Realm) F E Heaton – Reunion (Vampires Realm) R Marten – Laws of Wicca: Your Guide to Wiccan Laws, Practices & Principles Melanie Nilles – Starfire Angels (Starfire Angels: Dark Angel Chronicles Book 1) S A Hunter – Scary Mary
  14. I have way to many books read recently to write my thoughts on, so I'm just gonna list them here with one or two words to describe each one. Some really stood out and others were a bit meh, but all but one of them were either free or under a pound so I can't complain Heather Killough Walden – Hell Bent - Great crime thriller/romance. Lots of action - recommend. Heather Killough Walden – The Heat (Big Bad Wolf Series) Heather Killough Walden – The Strip (Big Bad Wolf Series) Heather Killough Walden – The Spell (Big Bad Wolf Series) Heather Killough Walden – The Hunt (Big Bad Wolf Series) - A fantastic adult werewolf series, with witches, wizards and vampires to boot. Highly recommmend! F E Heaton – Prophecy: Child Of Light ( Vampires Realm) - Really enjoyed this, quite gothic and european, Will no doubt read the next in the series. Recommend. Katie Salidas – Immortalis Carpe Noctem (Immortalis #1) - Not bad, would read the next in the series. Raven Dane – Blood Tears - Quite a large read set around the time of World War 2. Entertaining with plenty of interesting characters. Recommend. K R Smith – Claimed (The Circulate Series) *Novella* - I wouldn't bother. Ciana Stone – An Unwanted Hunger - Ok, but not nothing to write home about. Erin Munday – I Witch: The Powers of the Blood and the Heart - Writing style a bit irritating at first but ended up enjoying it. Michele Hauf – Her Vampire Husband - Adult Vampire/ Romance ... says it all really. Michele Hauf – Kiss Me Deadly - Same again. Claire Farrell – Thirst (Ava Delaney #1) - A bit meh. Tina Folsom – Samson’s Lovely Mortal (Scanguards Vampires #1) Adult Vampire/Romance, will probably read the next one at some stage. David McAfee – Saying Goodbye To The Sun - Boring and convenient. Sylvia Day – Catching Caroline *Novella* - Just don't bother. Brindle Chase – Dark Is The Night (Dark Justice) - Basically just sex. Bit of a waste really, it had the basis for a good thriller. Penelope Fletcher – Lunar Light - Wendigos? Hmm, not too sure about this one. Gia Dawn – Lord Demon’s Delight - Romance & Sex - boring in the end. Kimberley Raye – Cody - Too 'mills&boon', don't bother.
  15. Me too lol On the bright side though, I haven't spent more than a quid on a book in ages! haha

  16. A Discovery Of Witches by Deborah Harkness has to be my favourite book this year definitely. Ticks all the boxes for me - fantastic read
  17. Oh dear, I've fallen so behind on here I think I have about 20 books to add to my 'read this year' pile. I won't list them here but I'll put them in my reading blog when I get around to it I've also quite a few to add to my TBR pile. I do have an excuse! My books are all packed up cause we're getting new book shelves built, so I've been using my kindle ... damn you Amazon for being so tempting
  18. Hey Pickle :) I was gonna recommend a few to you, but I see you've read them already! :o You've been trawling on Amazon again haven't you?? Me too :D :D

  19. Hey hun xo How have you been? Thanks for popping in, sorry I haven't been around as much, not too good lately. I also fell yesterday and think I've sprained my right ankle and wrist, at least I hope they're just sprained! lol Good news is, I've read loads - some corkers and some not so good ;) Hope you have a great weekend xoxo

  20. I watched Sucker Punch - total waste of time, 2 hrs of complete and utter drivel
  21. Fantastic review peace! I am so so pleased it is one of your favourite reads, mine too I totally get where you're coming from regarding the science aspect, usually I'm not that keen on these bits and I tend to forget them as soon as I've read them, but even they managed to keep me interested throughout. Cannot wait for the next one! I suppose if it's taking so long to write, at least it might be another huge book? Here's hoping!
  22. I did end up really enjoying it, it was a lot more psychological than I imagined it would be and would probably make a great atmospheric movie A movie??? I think that must be the best news I've ever heard! Actually they should probably go to Michelle as I saw it on her Library Thing page on FB, it was what inspired me to read it .... but I don't mind taking a cut! Can't wait to read your review! The second book won't be out until 2012 sometime, I believe it may be the latter part of the year too Oh I wish she'd get a move on! Speaking of Facebook, I just became friends with Matthew Clairemont!!! .... If only he was the real thing *sigh* I've recently finished Immortalis Carpe Noctem (Immortallis #1) by Katie Saladis and Prophecy: Child Of Light by F E Heaton, both cheap downloads on kindle and both very enjoyable, with the second surprisingly getting a 10/10 from me
  23. So glad you enjoyed these! I have the latest on my shelf to read, well I say shelf when actually it's in a box somewhere as the room is being redecorated Yes! I'm so pleased I could cry! It is a wonderful book, still my fav this year Edit: Forgot to add my mojo came back I whizzed through the second half and finally finished Heartsick. I've moved on to some easy download on my kindle to keep it here in the hope it will hang around for a bit
  24. Cookies worked then? Bribery ... works every time Couldn't have put it better myself. Just 9? How long are you going for? ... I think you'll need more My mojo is tentatively returning, I managed a few chapters last night
  25. Good idea! I keep forgetting you can do that .... I think my mojo preferred being with you, it keeps coming home then disappearing again
