  1. I thought so! Yay! I was right! :boogie:I didn't fancy the series, but the book doesn't look half bad
  2. I've just added Undead and Unwed by MaryJanice Davidson, the first of a series, to my wishlist and after checking have noticed that it has grown from 39, as per my old thread, to 61 in a matter of days! At this rate I'll definately need to take out a loan!
  3. Great review frankie! It has me wondering if the TV series Cadfael was based on Ellis Peters books ...
  4. Looks like our future is all planned out for us frankie! We may start saving!
  5. I would tend to agree with Janet, I never think of you as Benji either, only Ben, especially with seeing your name pop up all the time on FB too.
  6. I got a bit confused myself (not an odd thing in my case), I automatically clicked on the other one and thought 'hmm this is strange, my head must really be going!'
  7. I remember you doing that! Nice to hear it was fine in the end. Thanks guys. Well I've almost finished it now and there weren't really any references which left me confused, so it seems fine Oh don't feel bad! :friends0:It's not you're fault, I should have checked before I started it, I usually do. I guess I was just too excited that my mojo wanted it! I'm really enjoying it.
  8. thank you everyone for replying and your comments! The Big Over Easy sounds does sound very interesting, it's been added to my wishlist Besides, I'm only doing as I'm told! I've added The Eyre Affair as well as it seems as if it would be good too, but I believe I would have to read another book to get all the in jokes, so it might be a while before I get to it. Thanks again everyone
  9. Breakneck - another one for my wishlist, thanks Lexie! Great review!
  10. That sounds wonderful! Count me in! Well ... after my kids have grown up a bit so I'm not moving them mid-school ... and after I convince my OH it's in his best interest ... and after I sell everything I own here and rob a couple of banks! Phew! This could take a while Ok now a question about actual books. I've seen the author Jasper Fforde pop up quite a bit recently on the forum and receiving great reviews. For those of you who know the kind of stuff I like, do you think I would enjoy his books? I can't quite make up my mind and wouldn't even know where to start You know I like mainly supernatural/fantasy, crime/thriller with the odd highly rated chicklit thrown in, but for the life of me I can't seem to narrow down his genre. I'm not really one for tales of woe or heartache, but on the other hand I don't want to miss out on a fantastic read and have had a few great surprises recommended from here! Any comments appreciated
  11. I'm about half way through Kiss Of Evil now and have just discovered it's the 2nd in a series I really hate it when that happens :motz:As I'm actually enjoying it, I'm gonna go ahead and finish it and just hope it doesn't spoil the first book for me
  12. Oh my son's almost 17, so I'm pretty sure he has uttered words and seen stuff that I don't want to know about! He's also addicted to World Of Warcraft, for which I read that Brom did some illustrations. Now that is bound to put him on my son's cool radar and earn me some coolness points into the bargain! Thanks It does! It does!
  13. Oh me too! Also the Waking The Witch by Kelley Armstrong
  14. He is fantastic, gruesome, gritty, Scottish crime. Good stuff! I started reading them after reading Kell's reviews, that girl has good taste! It sucks doesn't it. I will finish it though and just hope it doesn't give away anything regarding the previous. I suppose I should go and do some research now , better late than never!

You have some major treats in store there' date=' especially the Richard Montanari Balzano & Byrne series Arghhh! I didn't know Kiss Of Evil was part of a series!! I'm half way through it! Deviant Ways is on my wishlist, but I really should do my research more thoroughly. I hate it when this happens. This is on my TBR too, I've heard mixed reports so I hope we both like it. Happy Reading catwoman!
  16. The first Deaver I read was The Broken Window, which is a bit along the same lines as Blue Nowhere in that it's cyber, it's also in the LR series towards the end, I think you'd enjoy it too. The Blue Nowhere is my absolute favourite Deaver so far, I got it in the bcf book swap last year from Ceinwenn, it totally surprised me and spurred me on to his LR series. (Also, to this day, makes me think twice about what personal details about myself I put online ) Please do check out The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen, the whole series is fantastic!
  17. Having been totally infected with Otherworld-itis (one of my favourite series'), I had no hesitation on checking out this thread . Brom's website looks good and his artwork is fab.I do already have The Devil's Rose on my wishlish after reading a review from Weave, but I'm definately adding the other two as well on your recommendation. Do they need to be read in order? I also think that this may be something my teenage son would like. Thanks for this Kell (No antibiotics required!)
  18. Good haul frankie! Hope you enjoy each and every one I really enjoyed this chesilbeach and as a Kelly Armstrong fan, I'm sure you will too Read a bit more of Kiss Of Evil today, it's moving along nicely
  19. Happy Reading Kate! I dare say you will have no trouble reaching your target of 150, sometimes I wonder how you get the time to eat and breathe! I have The Book Of Lost Things on my wishlist too, so I'll be looking out for your thoughts on it
  20. I've read and loved all of these! The Graveyard Book I thought was a beautiful book (given to me by Nollaig ) and Charlaine Harris writes a very entertaining story. Cause for Alarm was actually given to me from Lexiepiper, along with In Silence and See Jane Die. I have to agree with her, great author from what I've read so far! I really want to get my hands on this book soon, I'll be keeping an eye out for your thoughts on it Happy Reading Bethany! Hope you enjoy many good books
  21. I've heard it's really good, for some reason though I keep passing it by and only think of it when I see him on telly I do really need to be in the mood for autobiographys though and with my mojo on rocky ground, I think it's best to wait. Hope you enjoy it when you do read it!
  22. Wouldn't that be something? You could show me all the lovely historical places and take me to the best coffee houses around! Calm yourself missy! Goodness knows where in the world you would be by that stage, I've only just realised you're back in New York!! Does sound fun though Have I just been talked into moving to the states in the future? I'm so innocent and easily led
