  1. Excellent review chesil! It was like a background book wasn't it? Sometimes I think it would have been good to read this before the WOTO series, but then we wouldn't have had the enjoyment of coming to love Clay's character throughout the books. So pleased you liked it after all
  2. Yip, that was Grave Sight. Check out this thread to see the sequels, good stuff!
  3. I'm sure it was one hell of a shock at that. Glad you're holding up ok hun If you ever need to listen to some useless babble to take your mind of things, just pop on to my profile or pm, doors always open
  4. I am truly sorry to hear about your Dad pip, I only read the 'what's up' thread occasionally so I had no idea. I just want you to know I'll be thinking of you and your family at such a sad time, please take care xo

  5. Oh my goodness pip, that is awful news, I am so so sorry to hear this! It must have been such a shock. I think you're doing the very thing needed. It always helps to keep company around you, even if it is only online, and you know you will get lots of love and support on here. I really do hope you're holding up ok *huge * You and your family will be in my thoughts xo
  6. Flippin eck! That was quick! I knew you'd love it
  7. I have absolutely no idea how these things work, I'm just about capable of uploading stuff .. but at least it's all sorted now
  8. Nice to see you posting here again pip What did you think of the Stuart MacBrides? I thought they were very good. I hope your mojo isn't doing a runner on you!
  9. Oh that's good to hear, I'm so jealous, I wish I was racing through books! Mind you, my mojo is slowly coming home ;) Our new year was ok, went to a friends as you know and it turned out to be a rather quiet evening. Now we're snowed in again, spent most of xmas snowed in too so cabin fever is definately setting in! Did you enjoy your DVD night and chinese? Sounds like it would have been way more fun than mine! I ended up falling asleep! :o

    Hi There

Hello Cookie and to the forum!
  12. Was the book called Grave Sight? If it was, it's the start of a series which is also really good Glad you're enjoying Sookie Lisa
  13. Thanks Ben I would definately recommend that you start your Montanari journey with The Rosary Girls, I think I saw it on your TBR? 10 on your wishlist already? It's only the 6th! I totally understand though Maybe one of the mods could help you insert a post for your wishlist, if it's possible? Failing that, its not too late to add it now You had to go and look at fantastic fiction, didn't you?
  14. I hope it picks up for you and you end up enjoying it I started The Vanished Man last night by Deaver!! I hope you like The Empty Chair, if I remember correctly, it was a bit slow to start but soon picks up
  15. Why thank you! :D How've you been? I just read your review and it sounds great, so naturally it's added to my rapidly growing wishlist! I really really really want to get buying some of these books!

    Hope you're well

  16. Me too! When I was a little girl I had really long hair and after I'd had a bath and washed it, my Dad used to sit me on his knee and gently brush out the tangles and keep brushing until it was dry. Half the time I fell asleep and he had to put me to bed! It was wonderful Edit: Sorry, nothing whatsoever to do with your book reading Beth
  17. Finished Kiss Of Evil by Richard Montanari last night and was pleased that missing out the prequel didn't spoil it I've now started The Vanished Man by Jeffery Deaver and it's started quite well I've just added yet another choice to my wishlist taking it up another notch , Evermore by Alyson Noel, as recommended by Lexiepiper. Should be a good choice for kookie too, so I guess you could say I'm really only doing my parental suitability duty!
  18. Evermore does sound good Lexie, not just for me but for kookie too like you told me Of course I will have to read it first ...just to be sure you know Another one for my rapidly growing wishlist
  19. That makes it sound scary!
  20. I know! Shocking isn't it? I did have a pretty quiet last few months of 2009 for reading so I'm trying to make up for it! My mojo seems to be happy at the min, fingers crossed it hangs around
  21. Fantastic review catwoman! The Big Over Easy has been added to my wishlist How could I resist with those comments? This is my concern too, is it a must to read Jane Eyre? I would read it if I thought it would spoil The Eyre Affair
  22. He is rather nice isn't he? I finished Kiss Of Evil by Richard Montanari last night and started The Vanished Man by Jeffery Deaver after, seems good so far
  23. Me too! Me neither I have never ever came across anything like it, no Sookie or Women Of The Otherworlds or anything, guess they're just too popular!
  24. WOW!! I only heard about it the other day from Kell! That is such a coincidence! Great minds eh? Can't wait to hear what you think of it Edit: Thanks for the heads up on the erotica bit
  25. Totally serious! I think it was reading through all the new blogs that did it and some recommendations. I did say one of my new year goals was to spend more time on here, looks like it's paying off! I'm dying to order new books now (my mojo demands it!), even though I have a big enough TBR pile as it is
