  1. Happy Birthday!

  2. Thanks for the headsup Lexie! Another title to bear in mind next time I'm ordering
  3. Awww I kid of course! I love your enthusiasm so don't apologise! Big hugs! :friends0:
  4. Mission Impossible 3 .... again
  5. Hmmm .. now that I look back on that post, putting 'ladies' in capitals wasn't such a good idea huh? Trust you to spot that!!
  6. That settles it then, Shiver will be added to my TBR ... Thanks ladies!
  7. Oh I like the sound of this! I think I'll add it to my wishlist .. another great review peacefield! I'll mosey on over to the bookring to see what's going on ...
  8. This keeps popping up around here! Kookie has it on her shelf so I think I will indeed give it a shot I really should try to re-read more shouldn't I? I keep meaning to and at the min I'm reading Dead in the Family and cursing myself for not reading the previous books, just seems such a waste! Do you really enjoy a book more the second time?
  9. "I feel bad that I'm leaving you like this," Amelia said. Dead in the Family ~ Charlaine Harris
  10. Sorry to disappoint, while still great, the first in the series doesn't contain much 'fluff'. Mind you once you go through a couple of books (can't remember exactly which one) you need to be very open minded!! Weave!! Only one of my favourite series of this year!! (I saw that on your TBR pile FB photo btw, nice one ) *chokecoughsplutter*!! Again Catwoman! Sweet? .. Innocent? ... LADIES?? Oh well ... 2 out of 3 for me aint bad! Agreed!! I thought you might like the Larrisa Ione ones , I have book 4 which I will be reading next, book 3 has been my favourite so far! ... oh and I will definitely be checking out those Merry Gentry books next time I'm ordering, thanks! Anytime hun ... now pass me a glass!!
  11. Hey hunny! xo I'm good ty for askin! It does seem like ages since we chatted doesn't it? Nothing much changed with me I'm afraid apart from teenage son angst :-( How have you been though? Are you all settled in after moving? Just make sure you sort the books out, gotta get your priorities right! ;-) I see you've got your profile pages sorted anyway, it looks packed...

  12. Just came on for an hour and has been here for almost 3! I'll never get any reading done at this rate lol

  13. Hmmm ....I keep seeing Shiver pop up and Kookie has it on her shelves, do you think I'd like it Fi? How are you getting on with this Fi? It does sound pretty good How are you keeping lately? I hope you're well
  14. Now that would be interesting to see, I may even start to watch the series then! I doubt if they will though
  15. Free eh? I never have that much luck! Can't wait to hear what you think of Pig Island, I found it rather odd. I haven't read a thing today .. yet. I do plan to remedy this later
  16. Glad to hear this is good, I have it here to watch but keep forgetting about it! I enjoyed this too, you may like the new version of Clash of the Titans as well. We watched Shutter Island last night. Leonardo Di Caprio was really good in it but the storyline was a bit predictable, my OH guessed the outcome really early on, although still a good show.
  17. Hiya Fi, I'm good thanks, hoping your good self is well too? Not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing that the Anita books slim down, I quite enjoyed almost 700 pages of easy *cough* reading! My mojo is definitely requiring some fluff lately, although I'm starting to feel the need to pick up a serial killer book, the new Dexter is out so I may get a copy of it soon. I've never noticed the Merry Gentry series before, is it a supe series too? Never heard of her ... *toddles off to check her out* Yeah, The Resurrectionist has been sitting on my bedside table waiting for me to pick it up since I wrote that post, it just puts me to sleep! Drags a bit I'm afraid. Both Fantasy Lover and Pleasure Unbound are definitely not for young adults, I'm not sure I should be recommending them to older adults! I am indeed liking the Anita Blake books and thanks for recommending them! I didn't realise there must be about 18 books in the series, so far I've bought 9, costing me a bloody fortune but they do look good on the bookshelf! Well??? What did you think of it?? Thanks Sara! Another recommendation for Kresley Cole eh? I definitely have to check this out. Never thought I'd see the day I came out of the closet! Glad to see so much interest in Raven Hart! Not quite as explicit as the others but still really good. *coughchokesplutter*!!
  18. Right. It's been ages since I updated Charm's Choices so here goes. In all fairness, I have kinda been sticking to the same 3 series' and I'd much rather talk about each series as one, rather than each individual book Lover Mine ~by~ J R Ward This one is the very latest released in this series. Another installment where we find out more about an individual brother, this time John Matthew. It contains the usual mix of love, lust and sex as well as the ever occuring war with the lessers. This series is one of my guilty pleasures, good stuff! Desire Unchained ~by~ Larissa Ione Passion Unleashed ~by Larissa Ione This series is very like the J R Ward series in that each book is about a different brother with similar struggles with the difference being that the brothers are demons. Fun, quick reads for me, nothing to taxing but entertaining none the less. The Vampire's Betrayal ~by~ Raven Hart The Vampire's Revenge ~by~ Raven Hart I really enjoyed this supernatural series. It was well written and I liked the writing style where the narration came from the two principle characters. Good well rounded characters and entertaining storylines. Definitely recommend! The Lunatic Cafe ~by~ Laurell K Hamilton Bloody Bones ~by~ Laurell K Hamilton The Killing Dance ~by~ Laurell K Hamilton Burnt Offerings ~by~ Laurell K Hamilton Blue Moon ~by~ Laurell K Hamilton Obsidian Butterfly ~by~ Laurell K Hamilton Narcissus in Chains ~by~ Laurell K Hamilton Cerulean Sins ~by~ Laurell K Hamilton These books are from the Anita Blake series. It took me a while to get used to Anita Blake, but then I did get rather hooked. Lately though the series has progressed into a somewhat more sexual series, to be honest Ms Blake is becomming a bit of a tramp! I have been enjoying them though, if you see them as just a bit of fun then they can be rather entertaining. Be warned though they do get rather big books, around 650 pages on average, and the author does tend to get wrapped up in her character descriptions.
  19. Goodness, I didn't realise I'd get homework! The fourth one did bring the delectable one back on track, although the second is still my favourite It will be interesting to see how he copes with the latest development And, I mean I will probably include it ... but I may not (and when exactly are you gonna read the rest huh? huh?) it depends on how caught up I get in the Anita Blake series, so far I just want to know what's gonna happen with it! And, also, (such bad grammar tut tut ) the next order will have to wait until sometime next month, even I'm no good at hiding that much spending on books!
  20. I hope so too Lucybird, I'm sure it'll pick up. I should have really read the previous ones beforehand to refresh my memory, I keep having to ask myself who she's referring to when she talks about more obscure characters! I know some of the later ones were a bit slower too so that's good to know
  21. I'm about half way through Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris now, hate to say it cause I love the Sookie books, but it's a bit slow
  22. This will probably be included in my next book order Thanks for the reminder!
  23. on with films these days lol I have The Lovely Bones to watch as well, saving it for while I'm ironing ;) (must read the book of course)

Hope you guys have a lovely picnic today! Have fun! xo

  24. Oh a picnic sounds lovely! I haven't had a picnic in ages, good idea ;) The weather her atm is pouring down, I've just had to run out and bring in the washing :( but I believe it's to pick up during the week. I saw The Lightning Thief too last week and thought it was pretty good, mind you I did watch it just after watching Clash of the Titans, somewhat of a Greek God thing going...

  25. Goodness me I know! The year has just flown by! I'm doin ok thx, just chillin today ;) how about you? You got anything nice planned today?
