I read a lot of crime an horror/supernatural, so everytime the hero has had a rough time of it, then wakes up to breakfast, I can almost smell and taste the coffee, pancakes & eggs or other breakfast pastries they scoff. I always end up making a coffee

I managed to read a few chapters today, although I fear my mojo may be waning again

Someone 'borrowing' your things, without asking and then proceeding not to even return them when finished, so you have to go looking for your own stuff when you want to use it! Really, really annoys me. The thing is, if they'd just ask in the first place I'd probably say 'use away', but at least I'd get the chance to say 'leave it back when you're finished' or even know where to start looking for the thing I'm missing!

Oh yes, it's a toss up now for me between the 5th and the 2nd which I thought was brilliant! I did remember, although the appt wasn't for me this time, it was for my son. He wasn't too impressed poor Dexter! He's such a logical bloke that I think that's what made this bit so funny! Thanks! Started Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater last night but I'm having a bit of trouble getting into it . It's been recommended often on here so I'll persevere

Finished Skin Trade this morning, then read Maggie's Curse by Debbie Poole (a very YA book) this afternoon and now not sure what to read

Still, when a vampire serial killer sends her a head from Las Vegas, Anita has to warn Sin City's local authorities what they're dealing with. Only it's worse than she thought. Several officers and one executioner have been slain -- paranormal style...Anita heads to Las Vegas, where she's joined by three other federal marshals, including the ruthless Edward hiding behind his mild-mannered persona. It's a good thing Edward always has her back, because, when she gets close to the bodies, Anita senses 'tiger' too strongly to ignore it. The were-tigers are very powerful, which means the odds of her rubbing someone important up the wrong way just got a lot higher... Skin Trade would have to be another of my favourites in the Anita Blake vampire series. Laurell K Hamilton seems to have gotten the balance just right in this one with the crime, action and personal stuff all blending together nicely. Yet more characters introduced, but all very interesting and each one adds his or her own element to the storyline. Totally recommended! 9/10

Yeah I tend to agree. Too much fairy stuff, which made no sense at all. When we were first shown about Sookie's fairy element my OH started to lose interest. Russell and Jason were as good as ever, as was Eric, but definitely more Eric needed! .. and what happened to Alcide? Shoulda been more of him Don't even get me started on the Sam storyline ...

Oh the second in the series is my favourite, I hope you enjoy it! Sounds like she may need to buy another suitcase to get them all back home too! I was pretty sore last night, so I went to bed and managed to read a good few chapters.
