Well that's it. I managed to read 68 out of my target of 70, which I'm confident I would have read if my mojo hadn't have disappeared at the end of October. I ended up buying a total of 101 books which explains why I still have a TBR pile of over 70! thank you to everyone who posted and commented on my book thoughts, and many thanks to everyone who has recommended some fantastic reads to me. Wow .. I can't believe it has been so long since I posted on this thread. It's funny how no mojo affect things! Since posting I have read, Through A Glass, Darkly by Bill Hussey Synopsis Courtesy of Waterstone's: "Through a Glass, Darkly" is a modern horror novel that deals with secrets long buried, festering guilt and haunting loneliness. Jack Trent, the most effective CID officer in the history of the department, is having bad dreams. He has seen the murder of a child in a forest at the hands of something indescribable. But these are more than dreams. They are visions of the future that Jack has tried for years to suppress. Something happened to Jack in his childhood; something that means he cannot touch another living person; something that killed his mother, and that has returned to inspire his visions.In a final race against time, events reach a dramatic climax as Jack attempts to save a boy's life in the clearing of Redgrave Forest. I ended up really enjoying this book. It is very dark in places and quite gory but it preys on all the darkest nightmares you've had about skeletal bogey men. I liked the main characters and apart from my waning mojo probably would have finished it in a couple of days. I would definitely read another Bill Hussey book. 7/10 Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare Synopsis Courtesy of Waterstone's: Tessa is soon caught in a dangerous love triangle where a wrong decision could prove fatal. I love the writing, the characters and the way the story develops keeping you hooked. Although it took me a month to read, that was nothing to do with the book. My mojo had totally gone. I will definitely be getting the new books in this series and can highly recommend it to all you YA readers as a thoroughly entertaining read. 9/10

Great review Shin! I found it to be a harrowing but intriguing read, and thought young Sarah was a truly remarkable character, glad you liked it in the end

Finally I finished The Clockwork Angel last at with 6 mins to spare before midnight so it counts as a 2010 read! Not sure what to read next though

Aw! .... sending you huge sympathetic cyber hugs! I know the feeling. I've read half a book in the whole of December There's nothing wrong with the book at all, I quite like it, I just don't want to read which is really scary

I've read the first 17 of the series and I must confess, I do enjoy them. I do agree though that they can be a bit samey and sometimes you can practically predict what is going to happen, but at least I know when I start one, I'm gonna enjoy it and it will keep my mojo entertained.

Thanks I did manage to read a few pages last night but I don't think I'll reach my 2010 target Oh well, there's always next year
