  9. To Kill A Mockingbird is one of my all time favourite reads. Thought it was brilliant how it was written from a child's point of view. Hope you enjoy all your reads
  10. Not buying/borrowing books is a tough thing to do. Good luck I love that feeling when you feel that connected to the characters and the settings.
  11. Wow! Great stuff It is interesting to see you prefer reading in 3rd person. I would love to see all the details of books I have read. I like write down how many books I have read each month and from male or female etc. How long did this take to do? Also how did you organise all this is there a programme you use on your computer?
  12. I usually read at least two books at a time. I find it hard to read only one. Even if I am really enjoying the book. I recently decided to put three books at a time on my currently reading shelf on goodreads. I had this habit of adding lots and I wasn't reading them.
  13. This is a lovely topic. Thought I would revive it. This happened six or seven years ago when I worked in Poundland (a shop that sells items for £1 each) over the Christmas period. One, extremely busy day a customer comes to my checkout and is wanting to buy some Christmas plates. She only has one so I tell her "you can get three for £1. Would you like me to get somebody to bring you some more?" She replies yes and so I ring for someone. Now she has been waiting a good ten minutes at this point and not once complained. I don't work in retail now but I have also worked in Primark in the past and she is one of the nicest, understanding customers I had. This Easter my brother (28) bought my sister (29) an Easter egg because she didn't have one Today: I bought some books
  14. I recently bought the latest Bridget Jones book. Sorry to hear it wasn't an enjoyment for you. Nothing selfish about not wanting children or even disliking them. There are too many overly spoilt children around. I don't know myself if I do or not. Possible in the future. I can't be sure of books where a female character hasn't wanted children and it's stayed that way throughout. If I am honest it's not something I've looked for. However now I think it could be a very interesting and important part of a story. As it seems in society if you are a woman you must want children and if not then "what is wrong with you?!"
  15. Aww Virginia, your granddaughter is gorgeous! Glad to hear she is doing well!

It is good to be with someone who won't end up running off and leaving you. Hope you enjoyed your dancing a shame work got in the way. Went for a run yesterday. The end of our street joins a bypass and we saw three roosters in the woody area. Just hanging out.
  17. I love it when somebody else hates beans! I love Heinz spaghetti so people will say to me "it's the same sauce" Yes well done Sherlock! I said I don't like beans! I also hate chickpeas.
  18. That sounds lovely, Talisman Had chicken polenta and roasted peppers and onions. Followed by a homemade raspberry mousse.

  20. You assume correct I'm from England.
  21. Hello and welcome I love your photo!
  22. I am glad you liked it It is nice when you're pleasantly surprised.
  23. Hehe I don't usually use this very often but it is what I have on goodreads too so I thought I'd use the same. I have so many nicknames it's very weird when people actually call me Lauren. That's okay it's only because it's really common in my country. I suppose it's not that bad and just me being silly
  24. Yayh! It's a shame about the television show though.
