  1. I can't believe that! It's just flying by. I am putting myself on a book buying ban for the rest of the year. I may not make it til then but I can at least try a few months. So, reading books I own is top priority, and I want to read at least one classic each month from now til December.
  2. Nice! Think I'm going to have sausages and wedges.
  3. Was great fun thank you Enjoy your Sunday. Sounds like you deserve a rest. Glad you got everything sorted at work Yes it has flown by this weekend. They always do, don't they? Glad you've had a great one
  4. My very lovely mum bought me the following by Alison Weir: The Princes In The Tower Lancaster and York: The War Of The Roses Elizabeth The Queen Eleanor Of Aquitaine: By the Wrath of God, Queen of England Really looking forward to all of these. I also bought The Handmaid's Tale for 60 pence. Might get to that soon, as my mum wants to watch the television adaptation.
  5. Hope everybody is having a lovely Saturday! Decided to go for a run but only managed to do just over 2KM. Think I'll stick to walking and leave the running with my dad. I missed him Looking forward to tonight, going out for a few drinks for some ladies at work. As I am very introvert it is nice this happens now and again.
  6. Sorry to hear that It's nice when they bring in new features but not when they can mess up somebody's profile. I do like that place, but the glitches that happen do baffle me.

That's great motivation Hope you had fun at the beach.
  8. I am a mood reader, too. I would dread reading if I stuck to a schedule.
  9. Did you manage to get this sorted in the end?
  10. I am currently reading Romeo & Juliet, which I am enjoying, but as it's an illustrated hardcover that belongs to my mum I don't want to drag it out with me. So I started reading Always The Bridesmaid by Lyndsey Kelk. Unfortunately it is dull but as it's such a fast paced read and I do like chick lit I will be finishing it.
  11. Aww so cute! The Siamese are stunning! The picture with the ironing board is the best thing I've seen all day
  12. Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackeray
  13. 46. Some wonderful books I have read lately too.
  14. That looks amazing. I'm seriously awestruck! Enjoy all your hard work
  15. The Emperor's New Clothes by Hans Christian Andersen
  16. I personally think if you are writing books aimed at children that adults would enjoy too, you are a pretty perfect writer. My mum was and still is a huge Roald Dahl fan and I have enjoyed all the books I have read by him. The Witches my favourite Beatrix Potter is very popular over here in the U.K. I love some of her books and others I found quite boring. Terry Deary I absolutely love, as I have mentioned before. I loved history at school and I wish we got to read his books whilst there. I am not a fan of YA books, however I wouldn't rule them out altogether. If I did I would never have read The Fault In Our Stars. Which could be a runner up for my favourite read of the year so far.
  17. Hello, Abir and welcome I can't speak German. I did learn it at school over a decade ago and sorry to say I don't remember much. Do you read in both German and English?
  18. Going to start back at A. If that's okay Absalom, Absalom by William Faulkner
