  1. Hello, Sam a big welcome to you.
  2. Good luck with the house Yayh! I like the sound of the autumn decorations and pumpkins
  3. Absolutely agree there! I enjoy this time of year, but I just don't like the getting up and it's still dark and having to leave work after it's dark. Which it won't be long now til that really starts happening.
  4. I have high hopes I don't feel it's going to let me down.
  5. Hi, Athena. Hope you are well. You read such a diverse range of books. It's lovely to see. Your reviews give me a buzz to want to read more themes and come out of my reading comfort zone.
  6. Happy 9 year anniversary What you have just said there, reminds me that I am a member of a couple of forums, not for books but for films. I joined around 11 years ago and it was such a lovely, warm place then things escalated. Now you could see a tumbleweed pass through. Sorry to hear you're still not 100%. Can you not get an extension on your sick leave? Hope you have fun at the meet up! That does sound good.
  7. Has anybody (UK) had a new £10 note? And is it Miss Austen?
  8. Yes it will be. thank you very much
  9. I found Confessions Of A Shopaholic online. I am so excited! I would prefer to have the physical copy but it is so hard to find the whole series. I think I'll start on it for my next read.

  11. Song Of The Skylark, sounds very much my thing. It's possible I have it on my to read list, but adding it if not. Glad you enjoyed it
  12. There was a scream, and then the loud roar of fire enveloping silken hangings... The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory
  13. I don't know if that was intentional, but that was brilliantly put. Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it though.
  14. That's some great reading. I hope you enjoyed them I read The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The NightTime by Mark Haddon. So brilliant! I also started The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory, I am enjoying this but only on page 21.
  15. 57 now. Which is 5 more than this time last year. Also in a great reading mood recently. Hope this stays with me...
  16. I thought about this the other day. It just suddenly comes round to the next month. I read 85 pages and finished Persuasion Jane Austen, throughout the day yesterday. I'll probably do a bit of reading this evening.
  17. I love this time of year too! Its so cosy. I can't believe it's September! However, once this month is over that is definitely it then. On the downward spiral towards 2018! Hope everybody has a great weekend. Going to help my mum clean the chickens out. Maybe go for a walk. Not much else planned.
  18. Hello Anna Nice to see you again. I hope you enjoy your reads, great to see you've got some 5*
  19. I have just finished Persuasion. I am not a Jane Austen lover, I found the two novels I read rather dull previous to this. However, I really liked this one. It kept me interested throughout. A strong 3*. I am going to continue with reducing my TBR pile this month, reading books I own or have a physical copy of, as well as reading one or two classics. Hope everybody has a great September
  20. My reading has slowed down a bit. I am hoping to get the books I am currently reading finished by the end of August. I am in the mood for some history/historical fiction. My girl Philippa Gregory I think and want to try a new author Alison Weir.
