Peacefield
I guess I shouldn't be surprised, since this was probably back in the 40's/50's. Have you ever been to or driven by Omer's Market?

AbielleRose
It sounds vaguely familliar. What part of town is it in?
Peacefield
It's on North Main, and is still in business I believe. My grandparents were the original owners wayyy back in the 30's .

AbielleRose
Is that the one on the corner of Russell and Main? I drive by that every day to work!
Peacefield
It is, yep! That's so funny you drive by there! My grandparents sold it in the 60's, but the new owner's kept the same name .
AbielleRose
That is so cool! It's one of those places that is so ingrained into your mind that I can remember exactly where it is and how it looks like and the shape of the sign but can never remember the name. It must be kind of nice to have a little family landmark like that. I'll have to stop in sometime!
Rawr
Isn't it strange how small you realise the world is at times like that, when someone is walking around the places that you have walked in your life and now you are communicating over a book message board on the internet? It's strange!
AbielleRose
It is. In a way it's nice to know that we are all connected somehow.
Rawr
Yes, i agree, it is comforting how everyone connects in such subtle ways
Peacefield
Yep, such a small world! My mom and her fam lived behind that little market her whole life, and now here we are talking about it all these years later.
AbielleRose
I'm sad to say that I've never looked around that area much. I drive past it twice every M-F. I don't know exactly where in the TC you are but I lived in Forest Lake until I was 6. I don't remember much but I remember all of the trees and going to Twins games. I loved the trees in MN.
