AbielleRose Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Nightingale, i wish i had some cheerios right now, i would be doing that And as to the rest of you, i shall take my fruit loop cheerios things and sulk in the corner telling myself how right i am! Are you going to sort them by color and eat them or do you like to mix and match? I used to take them all out of the bowl and make flowers out of them when I was a kid.
ned Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Anybody remember Lucky Charms? I loved that cereal when i was younger, it just dissappeared from the shelves one day
AbielleRose Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 It's still all over the shelves here. I actually have a box in my kitchen.
Stephanie2008 Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 They took the marshmallows out of it. That was the only reason I used to eat Lucky Charms
ned Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 It's still all over the shelves here. I actually have a box in my kitchen. Really? Must have had poor sales here or something then. Same thing with Mountain Dew, there one day and gone the next
AbielleRose Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 I never cared for how sugary Mountian Dew was, but we still have it everywhere here. Have you ever had Cocoa Puffs or Fruity Pebbles? They are also great cereals.
Rawr Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 I have ham and cheese sandwiches in the fridge i can snack on later, also some chocolate Viennese biscuits
ned Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Cocoa Puffs sounds like our Coco Pops, just chocolate covered rice krispies
ned Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 We don't get Kix Now that i think about it, we don't really have much of a cereal choice
Rawr Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Yeah in the supermarket it proclaims KELLOGS SPECIAL K OR GTFO for the most part.
AbielleRose Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 *note to self: bring own cereal if ever traveling in Ireland* That's too bad. Cereal was about the only thing my mom could cook so I grew up eating it sometimes two meals a day.
ned Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 *note to self: bring own cereal if ever traveling in Ireland* That would be wise
Rawr Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 I grew up on chippies, turkey dinosaurs, beans and potato smilies. I'm proud of the fact that i can actually somewhat cook and am still alive these days
AbielleRose Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 I grew up on chippies, turkey dinosaurs, beans and potato smilies. I'm proud of the fact that i can actually somewhat cook and am still alive these days Okay... I've been wondering this for a while now but didn't want to sound like a weirdo- what the heck are chippies? And turkey dinosaurs...
Rawr Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 A lot of people who aren't from the UK don't know what 'chippies' are i find They are basically like a takeaway, which sells chips with gravy, peas, pies, sausages, curry etc etc whatever you want to have with chips Turkey dinosaurs are like chicken nuggets, just shaped like dinosaurs and with turkey inside I'm a sucker for hilariously badly shaped food haha.
ned Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 just shaped like dinosaurs and with turkey inside Turkey in the loosest possible sense of the word
AbielleRose Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Ahh, I get it. Haha. Chips and peas? Blech! If you like hilariously bad shaped food you would love peep 'smores then!
Rawr Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Hey I had chips and peas earlier, it's nice! And yes, badly processed ''turkey'' yet it's still a good snack!
BookJumper Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 I'm a sucker for hilariously badly shaped food haha.Did you use to eat that awesome round ham shaped like a clown's face? Man, I loved that, can't seem to find it anywhere these days though. I must experiment with the dinosaurs, I believe Iceland has them...
ned Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 You can still get that ham but it is a bear face now, not a clown face. Not sure i'd want anything remotely clowny in my house so soon after reading IT
Peacefield Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 My parents didn't want us eating sugar-y cereal growing up, so we were strictly a Raisin Bran, Life, Cheerios and Grape Nuts household . I was amazed in college how many people headed to the cereal bar for every meal . I think the sweetest cereal I've ever had is Fruit Loops and I hated it! (sorry Rawr) I will have potato smilies one day, and I'll take a photo to commemorate the occasion! Tonight I had tortilla soup and threw in the rest of the grilled chicken I had last night.
Rawr Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Yes BookJumper, i had that stuff How can one hate fruitloops? That's simply.. loopy.
