Ben Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Aha to be honest I haven't been on here a lot recently, been busy with school things as well. But I came here to inform you first, when I came on. It's really really good. Quote
Kylie Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Wow, that's so great Ben! I can't tell you how thrilled I am that you're enjoying the show. Quote
Ben Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Wow, that's so great Ben! I can't tell you how thrilled I am that you're enjoying the show. Thanks Kylie. Quote
Kylie Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 I'm about 5 episodes in season 7 now. It's funny, but my DVDs don't show any episode titles; it's just blank where the episode title usually is. Anyway, I think I've only seen this season once before, so it's good that it's not too familiar to me. A train full of pickles derailed near Stars Hollow and the town stank of pickles that had been laying in the sun for days because Taylor was too stingy to pay $2,500 to have it cleaned up. Quote
Fi. Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Season 6 has just started on E4 here - I'm watching the episode where Lorelai comes home to a large hole in her bedroom wall and she adopts Paul Anka Quote
Kylie Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Paul Anka is just adorable (even if Frankie thinks he's unnecessary ). And the look on Lorelai's face when she walks into the bedroom is great. Quote
frankie Posted February 8, 2010 Author Posted February 8, 2010 Paul Anka is just adorable (even if Frankie thinks he's unnecessary ). Unnecessary and of the wrong breed A labby would've melted my heart Quote
Chrissy Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Season 6 has just started on E4 here - I'm watching the episode where Lorelai comes home to a large hole in her bedroom wall and she adopts Paul Anka Same here! It's also the beginning of the Rory D.A.R. involvement...... Quote
Kylie Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 As much as I love labs, I would have to say that Paul Anka (the dog) is cuter. Quote
Chrissy Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 I have to agree with you Kylie, Paul Anka is the bestest cutest cutie! Quote
Fi. Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Paul Anka is just adorable (even if Frankie thinks he's unnecessary ). Unnecessary and of the wrong breed A labby would've melted my heart Sorry Frankie but I'm going with Kylie on this one In fact, Paul anka is very similar to my old dog Tess so I have to really! Quote
Mexicola Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Hello! I thought I'd inform you of my recent online order for a certain DVD, you may know it... Gilmore Girls Season 1? I caught a bit of an episode on TV the other day and have been looking for a new series to watch (to replace endless repeats of Friends ). Anyway, I liked what I saw and knowing how much you all love it, thought I couldn't go wrong! It should be delivered sometime next week, so will be sure to let you all know how I get on Quote
frankie Posted February 14, 2010 Author Posted February 14, 2010 Cooool Mexicola!! You can't go wrong with Gilmore Girls I just hope that you won't become so engrossed by the series that you stop reading books and stop coming to BCF... Quote
Mexicola Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 If I go missing for a few weeks, you'll know why! Though I have got seven(?) series to catch up on, so I fear it may be even longer Quote
Ben Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I'm currently one season down - seven to go. I absolutely love the show however and did manage to scrounge the first four seasons off a friend so at least I know whenever I get the time that they're there for me to watch. May I just say thanks to you guys for recommending, if it wasn't for you people I wouldn't have found my love for this show. Quote
Peacefield Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Woo-hoo Mexicola! I hope you get addicted just like the rest of us . Oh wait, I know you will because you have excellent taste! Quote
Kylie Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 You're welcome, Ben! And glad to have you on board Mexicola. I'm sure you'll come to love GG as much as we do. Quote
Kylie Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I'm almost halfway through season 7. Stars Hollow planned a huge knit-a-thon to raise money for the bridge. Christopher is trying to get in good with everybody in the town so he made a donation of the exact amount they needed and everybody had to pack up their knitting and leave too early. I don't think his plan worked. Quote
anisia Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I finally watched the last few episodes of season 7 and I was honestly just a tiny bit disappointed with the ending. It seemed rushed! This being said, I think I'll start rewatching season 1 soon, it's been quite a long time since I've seen it! Quote

Chrissy Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 One of my top lines from Luke in the episode I watched today, 'Twenty-One Is The Loneliest Number'.................. “It tasted pink. I mean like, really tasted pink. Like really pink-pink. It’s like drinking a My Little Pony.” Quote
Peacefield Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Love it! 'Nuff said Woo-hoo, a convert! Yay Mexicola! The episode 'Norman Mailer I'm Pregnant' was on this morning so I had a good time watching it. I love the Luke/Lorelai moments and Suki is just hilarious . Quote
Kylie Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 I only have 6 more episodes of season 7 to go and then I'll be done. Even though this isn't by far my favourite season, it's good to watch because I've only seen these eps once before so I'm not that familiar with them. Lorelai and Emily had another one of their moments, when Lorelai told Emily her marriage with Christopher was over. She asked her not to say anything, and Emily didn't, and later she patted Lorelai's arm. Lorelai was really touched (they had been drinking though, so that might explain the kindess). Then the next morning (Lorelai stayed over!) Emily virtually ignored Lorelai and then was rude to her by bringing up the fact that she had to cancel all of the party plans that she had made for their post-wedding party. Quote
