poppyshake Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Just found Top Hat on BBC2, so enjoying a bit of Fred and Ginger on a rainy afternoon now. Looked to see what films they had on catch-up earlier and settled for this one. Perfect escapism I always think I can dance though after I've watched Fred & Ginger .. so disappointing to discover again that I can't Quote
Athena Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Legally Blonde. I haven't seen it in years. It was about time! I really like this film . My brother played in a Legally Blonde musical, with his musical group. I liked it a lot though it wasn't my favourite of their musicals. Quote

It was odd, though, to see Steve Carell to play a mean character. Quote
Athena Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I watched The Book Thief, I loved the book and I really liked the film too. Very nice (though a difficult subject). Quote
Karsa Orlong Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I'll be your Huckleberry. Love that film Quote
pontalba Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 (edited) We saw The Judge yesterday, with Robert Downey, Jr. and Robert Duval. Great film. Great actors. Edited October 16, 2014 by pontalba Quote
frankie Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. Bit of a disappointment, especially when it featured some of my favorite actors. Quote
poppyshake Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Singing in the Rain .. always makes me want to splash about in puddles Quote
vodkafan Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Singing in the Rain .. always makes me want to splash about in puddles Don't worry there'll be plenty of that to do soon Quote
poppyshake Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Don't worry there'll be plenty of that to do soon Yes .. I've done some already this week but it wasn't half as entertaining as Gene made it look. Quote
Timstar Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 The Internship, ridiculously predictable, in the same vein as Dodgeball but no where near as good. But still not completely terrible in itself. Quote
bobblybear Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Frankie and Johnny. I haven't seen this movie in probably 10 years! Such a great re-watch. Oh, I love that film. I have it on DVD but haven't watched it in a while. Can't remember the last movie I saw. It's been a while, though I do have a fair few on my Amazon watchlist. Quote

vodkafan Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Cuban Fury - British Dance comedy with Nick Frost and Chris O Dowd. Was OK but never hilarious. 10 Things I Hate About You - very young Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles Quote
geordie9 Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Movie adaptation of Stephen King's short story Gramma, it bored the socks off me. Quote
poppyshake Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 The Grand Budapest Hotel .. very quirky .. I liked it Ralph Fiennes is great. Quote
Melodious Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 The Grand Budapest Hotel .. very quirky .. I liked it Ralph Fiennes is great. I love Wes anderson films. Have you seen Moonlight Kingdom or The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou? Check them out if you haven't. Very quirky, great cinematogrophy and good humour. Many actors appear in the same films too like Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton and Bill Murray. Quote
