I learned that today back in 1968, 'Mr. Rogers Neighborhood' first aired nationwide on American public television . I grew up watching Mr. Rogers and his show holds lots of good memories for me.

I saw Crazy Heart this afternoon and I loved it!! It's like Jeff Bridges was born for this role or something, and I'm so glad he won the Golden Globe for his performance. I'm crossing my fingers for him with the Oscar too. I'm not normally a country music person, but the style in this film was different. And who knew Bridges could sing?! Wow, just wow . -

I was so excited to see Shawn White and Lindsey Vonn win golds on Wednesday, woo! Also that our guy won gold in the men's free skate last night . I'm looking forward to watching short track speed skating this weekend too, and go USA men's hockey!

There's an old West Wing repeat on TV that I'm watching and I'm already blubbering! It's right after Leo's funeral and everyone's back at the White House reminiscing about the past 8 years, awwww.

A friend's mom read this Lehane a long time ago and loved it. She's still telling me I need to add it to my TBR list . I'm like you, Univerze, I hate seeing a film version of a book first, so I may try to read it before I see it. I think the film looks great, and Scorsese? Wow. I also love Mark Ruffalo so I hope to see it. -

Heading out tonight to one of my favorite places in town that specializes in Asian and South American fare. They have the best peel-and-eat shrimp in the world and oh the empinadas, yum!
