  1. The full trailer is coming out before Friday and Remember Me? I hadn't heard, Fi, cool! Can't wait .
  2. So I pre-ordered my copy of the NM DVD from Target . I saw too that apparently there are several stores in the US like Borders and Best Buy hosting 'viewing parties,' but can you imagine how obnoxious that would be? Just like the opening night of the film but more crammed in with all kinds of tweens sitting on the floor like they're at a slumber party. I'd rather watch in the comforts of my own home! Have you all in the UK heard of places there hosting parties? If anyone's interested (duh!) here is the 10 second teaser clip of Eclipse that was released today. It's not much but I'm not complaining!
  3. decaf non-fat latte and a banana.
  4. I have one large bookshelf in my living room that holds all of my pretty fiction books and my big art, architecture and design books. The rest of my books are in flat boxes under my bed and the bottom drawer of my dresser . I'm kind of crunched for space but all the books not on the bookshelf are easy to access.
  5. I just finished having some sauteed chicken, mushrooms, zucchini and red onions, all in a yum-o-licious peanut/soy sauce .
  6. Just about to turn on my TV for the first time in a couple days to watch Big Bang Theory, woo! I love this show .
  7. Thanks for posting the winners list, Mexicola! I'm extremely happy for Jeff too, he gave a very sweet speech. Did anyone else think though that the ceremony was kind of boring? It just seemed to drag on and on for me . I was also really looking forward to hearing the nominated songs performed, but they didn't do that that year so I was disappointed. Oh and it was odd that they forgot a couple people who died last year in their tribute montage!
  8. Starbucks latte and a warm blueberry muffin...mmm.
  9. I love FOTC, Mexicola! Excellent writing on that show . Yeah while my friend and I were watching HP we had to keep asking each other, 'now who is that?' and 'remember? that guy was the rat in the previous film' I must say I got a little annoyed with Hermoine (sp?) in this one - she seemed a touch dramatic. Ah well, they are fun! Even though my fave sparkly dude didn't fare too well in this installment .
  10. Excellent show, Mexicola! I made a horrible, horrible choice in judgement on Friday night and watched 'New in Town' with Renee Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr. Last night we watched the 4th Harry Potter film, Goblet of Fire. I was a bit confused most of the time, (and shed a tear I'll admit it ) but it was fun to watch. Now I only have 2 more HP films that I've never seen!
  11. Great review, Lucybird! I've had this one on my wishlist for awhile and I think I just need to buy it and read it soon . It sounds like lots of fun!
  12. Hey there and welcome to BCF, Emily! Glad you joined up .
  13. Watching a bit of the Oscars red carpet and then the ceremony itself!
  14. Art Nouveau Saturday or Sunday?
  15. Balance, Nicola! Just keep chanting that to yourself . A little Uni, a trip to Waterstones, woo-hoo! I'm glad you enjoyed the Armstrong though. Weave, Charm and Kell got me hooked and for good reason! They are great reads . Steeeeve, I'm sorry you didn't quite like The Historian as much as the rest of us. I'm glad you finished though and saw the end pick up a bit . I read a few pages of PP&Z last night before bed but that's all I could manage before I drifted off. I'm hoping to squeeze more in today between cleaning and preparing food for the party tonight.
  16. We had a whole big set of Dr. Seuss books growing up so I have lots of good memories. I think Grinch was also probably my favorite, followed closely by Cat in the Hat. I just loved Thing 1 and Thing 2!
  17. Nicola! Is this your first time reading the Kelley Armstrong series? They are SOO good! I read the first 3 and am itching to get my hands on the next one. Awww Steeeeve, you sound like you're almost done with the Historian, do you really want to quit now? I'm sorry it's dragging for you . I loved the ending though so I really hope you keep on . I decided to start Pride and Prejudice and Zombies today. Let's hope my mojo hangs in there because I'm not a fan of it being so shy. Thanks again for the book, Weave!
  18. I hope Katherine Howe writes more soon! I also heard she wants to some day do a sequel to Lost Book so here's hoping . Oh, and I would like to put in a request to meet someone like Sam one of these days .
  19. Heading over to my friend's tonight to watch a movie and he said something about a chicken/bacon/artichoke pizza waiting for us in his fridge. YUM!
  20. Excellent review, Weave! I'm so glad you loved this book . I agree with you that it showed another side to the witch trials and it was great to get that insight during the chapters from Deliverance's point of view. You were right I also liked reading about Connie's relationship with her mother, because even though she was only in contact with her by phone, her mother still seemed to know everything that was going on, to the great annoyance of Connie .
  21. Are you enjoying The Historian, Steeeve? I can't get enough of Kostova's writing. I think I'm in the same boat as you, Charm. I finished my other book a few days ago and there just isn't anything I'm in the mood to start!
  22. Welcome, Gemz! Nice to have you here .
  23. 'New in Town.' It's only been on for 10 minutes and already it's looking like a pretty dismal movie!
  24. NOOO! Cornell is a god amoung men and therefore perfect .
  25. Planning on watching The Office 1 hour special in about 15 minutes. I'm excited for a new episode now that the Olympics are over!
