  1. I've had kind of a crazy week with not much reading done, but I'm about a quarter of the way through Pride, Prejudice and Zombies. Loving it so far! Hopefully I'll get more reading in this weekend.
  2. Just got home a bit ago from seeing Remember Me, which opened here today. Honestly, this was a very good film, and I'm not just saying that because of you-know-who. For some reason I'm kind of surprised that I enjoyed it as much as I did, since I thought it was going to be strictly 2 hours of eye candy. Not the case though! Superbness .
  3. A most excellent review, Poppy!! I'm so glad you liked this one . It is staying on my wish list and I hope to read it soon.
  4. That's sad about Under the Dome, Rawr! I was looking forward to attempting this sometime since I thought it might be a return to 'classic King' . Bravo to you for finishing it though, despite the disappointment!
  5. Went to a nice Asian place tonight and we just decided to split a few appetizers. So dinner for me was chicken lettuce wraps, calamari and crab wontons - all dipped in a lovely plum/soy sauce . Yum. Oh, and 2 cups of coffee (decaf!!).
  6. Welcome to BCF, Wendy! Glad you joined us .
  7. Curiously strong Altoid peppermints . I just got done eating my salad with obscene amounts of red onions - peppermint is crucial!
  8. The Coen bros a one in a million, Inver . I loved 'Burn After Reading.' I've lost track of how many times I've seen Poltergeist, Cookie! It was our movie of choice at every slumber party I went to when I was younger . Such a great film! The little girl's voice was creepy, but I must say I found the clown doll the worst part! Oh that and the unfortunate incident with the steak in the kitchen... Eww.
  9. An English muffin and some apple slices with the uber-licious Gejost cheese!
  10. Wonderful review, Lexie! I really enjoyed this book too .
  11. Tigers pencil or ink?
  12. Those are great episodes, Stephanie! I think my faves would have to be In Excelsis Deo and Let Bartlet Be Bartlet - but it's very hard to choose!
  13. Chesil! Now come on, I only managed to see NM 8 times since November you know! No worries though, I already promised I wouldn't say a word (other than how much I loved it) and spoil it for my fave BCF folks. I swear on The Neck! I will confess though I have 30 June off and am planning to go to the midnight showing again. It still sucks though that you guys have to wait. I would love to have a discussion with Chris and ask why.
  14. CPK barbeque chicken pizza for me!
  15. Woo for West Wing eps, Stephanie!! Do you have a fave from season 1? Sounds fun, Chesilbeach! Marilyn doesn't have a huge part in 'There's No Business Like Show Business' but I love her in that film . She has some great numbers in it. I watched one of my guilty pleasures last night, 'Thirteen Going on Thirty' .
  16. I don't understand the later release date thing. Why would they have it at the same time for NM and not this one? That's a shame. I promise I won't come in here and say a word other than how good it was . You have my word! I'll take down my Neck avvie forever if I say anything otherwise. I like the look of the trailer though, so big thumbs up from me!
  17. Omg omg omg!
  18. Every time I pass this at the shops I think of picking it up, Poppy! I'm glad to hear you're liking it so far - you'll have to let us know what you think after you read more. It looks really good!
  19. A Pink Lady apple
  20. It's okay, Lexie, you and Noll can have him! Awww . Thanks for posting the links and synopsis Weave and Fi, I can't hardly sit still from the excitment! Has anyone heard any news on Eclipse soundtrack possibilities?
  21. Yes! Private lessons would be good, I like that idea . Well, maybe I should start with French or Italian, hmmm? Although Oksanen sounds intriguing, Frankie! Please let us know when that book is translated to English .
  22. Most excellent haul, Frankie! I approve . I too wish I had learned another language or two. Although Sheldon from TBBT didn't make learning Finnish look too hard! Oh wait, he's a partical physicist...
  23. Apples Vermeer or Rembrandt?
  24. Ahem, yes Mac, 'tis true . Apparently Haim had been in and out of rehab about 15 times, according to the news. I thought I'd heard that his friend Corey Feldman had been doing better though, so hopefully he won't be following suit.
