  1. Ghost Hunters!
  2. I haven't gotten any reading done yet today (I just walked in the door), but when I went home to get my mail I had a lovely copy of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies waiting for me! Thankies, Weave!! :D
  3. Oooh glad you ordered the Twilight DVDs finally, Lexie! If you haven't seen the version with commentary, please do since it's hilarious . I'm pre-ordering the NM set of DVDs from Target on Friday this week. Hopefully they'll arrive ON the 20th and no later!
  4. I read about 50 pages of The Blackstone Key last night (since I couldn't sleep ) and am about 2/3 of the way through. Even though I like some of the characters and it's sufficiently keeping my attention, it almost feels like this could be a much shorter book. Lots of 'filler' and not enough solid story I guess. Oh well, I like it enough to finish it!
  5. I'm a magazine reader, and subscribe to Entertainment Weekly, Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair and Spin. I also occasionally buy a cooking magazine or other interior design or art mag .
  6. <--- Is third-ing The Historian .
  7. I've only seen season 7 once as well Kylie, and don't remember much of it. At least you can start over and watch them all over again, right?
  8. Just made a coffee run so I'm drinking that and having a York Peppermint Patty . It just magically got thrown over my cubicle wall from my lovely neighbor .
  9. Oooh I hope you like it too, Frankie!! When I read it the first time, my dad was reading it as well, although his was a re-read. We talked about it a lot though and really got into the architecture part of the plot, so all those things contribute to it being on my favorites list . You'll have to let me know what you think of it when you get to reading it!
  10. I've read a couple of hers, Raskolnikov. I read Anthem in high school, and although I don't remember the premise I do know that it's not as large and daunting as Rand's other works. Maybe you could start with that? I also read Fountainhead, which will forever be on my favorites list .
  11. Coffee and some Special K breakfast bar thingie.
  12. Those parts are great, Dimitra! I love the lines his friends use like "Dissed in the Malibu!" or "You're bringing me down, man!" I also love Lloyd's interaction he has with his sister and little nephew .
  13. I loved 'District 9,' Dimitra! Glad you got to see it. Had you seen 'Say Anything' before? A definite 80's classic, IMO .
  14. Yep, it's pretty cool stuff, Charm! My ancestor was Rebecca Blake Eames and was accused in 1692. She was pardoned though before being executed and lived until 1721 when she was in her 80's . I think I'm going to have to make a trip this weekend and pick up this book. I'm in the mood to read any and all kinds of historical New England goodies! It's fascinating stuff though, Charm. I was always surprised at the fact that some people back then believed that if they became ill or something bad happened to them, that they must have done something wrong against God and were being punished! So if the people who were trying to help those who were ill (like witches) they were seen as evil themselves. You just couldn't win!
  15. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Janet and Scarlette! I like hearing other opinions and luckily it's at the cheap theatre here so if I don't like it it's not like I've wasted too much money on it. I was intrigued by it firstly because of the director Jason Reitman. He also directed Juno which was one of my favorites, but I'm not sure if this one will be as appealing. I think I mainly liked Juno because of the writing done by Diablo Cody, so we'll just have to see if Up in the Air is worthwhile too!
  16. May I ask what you didn't like about this film, Janet? It's doing pretty well over here and I hope to see it sometime this week .
  17. No I missed that shot, wow! Okay I just looked at the schedule and if the score stays the same there'll be more games to follow and the gold medal game isn't until the 28th. That schedule is too confusing to figure out though as far as how many games are left to play, sheesh!
  18. I know just as I posted Cali we got another goal, woo! Not wanting to jinx anything, but what happens if the score stays 4-2 if you know what I mean??
  19. Awww I forgot about that part in Neverending Story, Kimmy! For some reason earlier today I was reminded of this little film called 'Spitfire Grill' and man, that one made me bawl my eyes out!
  20. Ryan Miller is the man! USA is up 3-2 and the third period just started . Woo!
  21. Nope, not holding back at all. I'm looking forward to a fight or two! BAFTA's = British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards. Our Oscar's basically.
  22. He better watch out! Yep and it's not even the end of the first period yet, wow! I'm switching back and forth to the BAFTA's - it's too nerve wracking!
  23. Oh no a penalty, Cali!! And is that the guy you know who got the sticking call? For shame .
  24. Woo-hoo USA just scored a goal in the first 21 seconds of the hockey game against Canada!!
