  1. Heheh, I didn't even count all the units of alcohol I had this weekend.
  2. *Throws things at Nollaig* Think about how good you'll feel when results show! These things take time. Be patient. Don't trade long-term happiness for immediate satisfaction. FIND OTHER WAYS TO TREAT YOURSELF THAT ARENT FOCUSED ON FOOD! (<-- I need to do this too) Enough pep talk for one day. I had my usual weekend break from worrying about this stuff, and ate m&m's yesterday. Guilt free. But now it's back to the usual healthy diet.
  3. The weekend was rather calorie-loaded for me. How are all of your diets going? I have a hard time not snacking in the evenings, I find the best thing is just to keep busy with something or other. Otherwise it's like the fridge is calling to me, wanting me to snack on even stupid things like... I don't know, bread with cheese. Did some spinning today, and feel better for it, though. HoneyGirl, I really understand how you feel about the weighing! When I knew I'd gained weight I didn't weigh myself for ages because I just knew I wasn't going to like what was coming. These days I weigh myself every morning and every evening, because I'm worried weight gain will just sneak up on me like it did before. It's like I need to check, see that it's okay. I don't like it much, though.
  4. Well, my bikini that I post-ordered from asos.com arrived today. I tried it on.. surprise surprise.. it's a bit tight. It fits, but I'm not comfortable. So I guess I need to lose just a *little* more and see if that helps. Doesn't help to be wintery pale either.
  5. Well... Spot on, Kell. I thought the
  6. I switched to yogurt and nestle fitness cereal!
  7. MrsLovebug, I don't know much about the Wii Fit but I can tell you one thing - whether or not you exercise, what and how much you eat makes all the difference. If you don't like the gym, then taking walks is both fun and extremely helpful with weight loss. If you keep the pace moderate+, that's the perfect intensity of exercise you need, plus you can go for ages! You don't need a gym unless you're training for a race / for a specific goal / you really love gyms (like me). edit: Noll + pontalba, you're incredibly sweet <3. I want to try and slow my weight loss down a little, reach my goal slower than I am now. I've perhaps become a little obsessed with calorie counting. :/
  8. Eek, I'm down to my lowest weight possibly ever (since I became an adult at least). Yay? Shh, it's a secret.
  9. Oh gosh - jealous. Space is so cool.
  10. He's beautiful, Poppy. Really, really pretty. Seeing you go through this makes me think of my own cat I lost a few years back! She was 15.. she had so much character, too. You're so lucky/good for having all those pictures of Oscar.. I never took enough of her, so I only have the pictures in my head to remember her by. <3. Definitely lump-in-throat photoseries you put up. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  11. It's really fun to see the faces of BCF. Thanks, Sofia (he's pretty gorgeous isn't he? ) Ruth: where were you when that picture was taken? It looks interesting!
  12. Me + Håvard at Christmas!
  13. Does anyone else notice how similar this is to Dr Who? And I laughed when Watson called Sherlock for "Spock" in a mocking way, especially since B.Cumberbatch is playing in the new Star Trek sequel. I saw the episode last night with my boyfriend & really liked it, though I'm driving him nuts by saying every five minutes "Oh that is just TYPICAL Moffat!"
  14. Well done both of you BookGeak that's a good idea about the chocolate on Saturday! I'm now on day 8 everybody. Going pretty good, in fact, my "diet" feels like eating fairly normally but in smaller portions.
  15. I have two signed books by George RR Martin, and one signed book by Jeff Smith, author of the Bone graphic novels. He is wonderful! <3
  16. They're going to fudge Life of Pi right up, is my prediction.
  17. Thanks for your reply! Could you specify what you meant with "if I can lose on that amount of calories"? Is it too much do you think? I burn 1300 cals every day just existing. But I'm fairly active and to maintain my weight I need to eat about 1600 cals. Plus, when I exercise, if you subtract that amount then my total goes down to.. 1100-1000. So that's okay. Nollaig, it's tough living in Britain. Your culture seems to focus on sweets a lot. I'm a huge chocolate lover but since the temptations are so reduced it doesn't really matter.
  18. Ho ho I free dive and can hold my breath for a while, actually, Mr. VF! (actually not that long... but I held my breath with breathing-pauses when I needed to.)
  19. Hi and welcome Hope you like it here
  20. I'm on my 6th day of a 1400-1600 cal diet. It's going good, thanks to myfitnesspal.com <3 my new favourite website after BCF Nollaig, it IS pretty genius, the master cleanse. Cayenne speeds up your metabolism and maple syrup provides your brain with glucose. I didn't have any of the side effects you mentioned aside from nausea (from hunger probably) and extreme crankiness. Pontalba: can you explain atkins to me? What is it you do on it?
  21. I laughed, Julie. And that's despite having read a couple of those books! I was about thirteen at the time, beginning to discover my sexuality and all that.. I remember my friend and I found her Mum's stash of books hidden in a box under her bed. What I really think though, is that they're escapism at its best. Nothing could be further removed from the life of the target audience than those stories. At least the ones I read, which were all medieval damsel-in-distress, angry knight with a soft heart, evil person who wants to marry her love triangle type things.
  22. Hi and welcome! ^^ Stay and get to know us (and vice versa)
  23. Hahaha. You know what? I can't imagine a group of people being interested in what's in my diary.
