Hi Hazel & welcome to the forum I've got Memoirs of a Geisha on my bookshelves but haven't got round to reading it yet. If you like historical fiction i'd definitely recommend Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet it's a fantastic read.

I loved living in Amsterdam till we had children then i got kind of homesick so we left, we went to live in Dublin where my hubby's from for a couple of years & then came back to England. My sister still lives there though & she always brings me a bag of Kersen bonbons & some jongen komijn kaas when she comes over as they're the foods i miss most.

Hi Turin I read Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell a few years ago so although i can't remember a lot of the storyline i do know that i really enjoyed it. It's one of those books that's hard to put down because you get so involved in the story so i'd definitely recommend it. -

Alias Grace is the third Margaret Atwood book i've read, the other two being The Blind Assasin & Handmaids Tale. I found Grace to be a highly likeable character but throughout the book, like Dr Jordan, your never really sure wether your getting to know Grace or merely seeing what she wants to project. I'd definitely recommend this book.

I finished Alias Grace, really enjoyed it, i've decided to read Jamaica Inn by Daphne Du Maurier next. The football will be on in our house tonight so i should get a sizeable chunk read then.

Has anyone read Revelation by C J Sansom? I saw it in a charity shop yesterday & nearly bought it, i checked it out on Amazon & it gets good reviews so i'm thinking of going back & getting it but just wondered what other people thought of it.
