I've read Chocolat, Lollipop shoes & recently Blackberry Wine all of which i enjoyed. Ive got quite a lot of her other books too, as they turn up regularly in the charity shops, but haven't got round to reading them yet. I think my latest find is called Holy Fools.

I agree with everyone else about Fingersmith, a good read & very easy to get into. I also read Affinity but didn't like it as much as i worked out what was going to happen before the end & i've just started Night Watch so good to read that other people enjoyed it.

Trying to eat a bit healthier so bought some Quinoa & had it with a bean & veg stew, it was quite nice although the DS2 said it was like frog spawn

1) I'm quite shy & sometimes worry that people will think i'm standoffish because of it. 2) Autumn is my favourite month because i love blackberry picking with the children. 3) Three of my children were born at home. 4) I don't own a mobile phone or a microwave. 5) I love to eat sundried tomato's straight from the jar.

I found the forum by chance & have been lurking & reading for awhile so thought i'd take the plunge & introduce myself My name is Samantha, i'm married & have 6 children ( 3 boys & 3 girls) ranging in age from 18 right down to 3. I've always loved reading & have tried to instil my love of books in the children with varying success I don't have a favourite genre but like to read a wide range of authors, i've just finished reading Spies by Micheal Frayn (fantastic book) & am starting Night Watch by Sarah Waters next. I buy most of my books in charity shops & have a huge backlog of unread ones as with a big family it can be hard to find the time to actually sit down & read but have recently got my reading mojo back big time & i'm hoping that by joining the forum it'll help me keep up the momentum
